Hi Dolleyj . I am not sure if you are a student, or just someone interested in the topic... but generally it is a bad idea to make a massive revision to any article, as you did here. In anyone's edits there may be good things and bad things, and if you just do a single massive revision, a) you express disrespect for all the editors who worked on the article before you, and b) you leave other editors no choice but to revert you wholesale, as I did here. Please make bite-sized edits that be considered individually. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 12:49, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not edit war. As per WP:BRD, if you make a change and are reverted, discuss the changes you want to make on Talk. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 13:56, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an assignment I and my group were required to do for class. All I ask is this contribute not be undone for 1 week's time. thank you. Dolleyj (talk) 13:59, 2 May 2014 (UTC)Dolleyj[reply]

Hi, and thanks for talking. While Wikipedia is always looking for more contributors and it is great that universities are incorporating Wikipedia into their curricula, Wikipedia does not exist for the personal benefit of students. To the extent that what you are interested in, is getting a grade and not improving the encylopedia, that would be a violation of our conflict of interest policy. This is unfortunately a problem that we often run into with these courses. Please remember that you signed up for this course; you are responsible for what you do, including what you do at Wikipedia. Please discuss what is happening with your instructor or the Wikipedia ambassador for your course. And again, my advice to you is to introduce your edits piecemeal. Some of what you want to add looks OK and could probably stay; some looks like it is not. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 14:14, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, the aim is, or was, to improve the article - not just receive a grade. I should have better specified that. Thanks for your advice. Again, this all very new and unfamiliar to me. Thanks! Dolleyj (talk) 16:03, 2 May 2014 (UTC) DolleyjDolleyj (talk) 16:03, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
