Speedy deletion of Yung Trace
[edit]A tag has been placed on Yung Trace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Delicious carbuncle ([[User talk:Delicious

The farthest I could go back in my family was to my great grandmother Luceal Smith. She was born down south in South Carolina , where she had my grandmother Lorraine Smith
Draft article
[edit]Hi. I notice that your Userpage was a draft of an article on Yung Trace, which apparently was deleted. No problem, but it needs to be in a sandbox or similar draft page, so that it is clear you're working on cleaning up the article to address the concerns that got it deleted the first time around. I've moved the page to User:Don Trace/Sandbox for this purpose, but please note that you can't have a draft article forever; you need to be working on correcting the issues noted above (the article may not be notable), or the page might yet be deleted. - I can't speak to other cases, but in this case it looks like the Yung Trace article was deleted because there was not an assertion that the subject was notable. Additional news articles, awards, or high album/single sales might prove otherwise; I'm not familiar with the artist, so I'm not sure whether they are or are not notable. As for the draft article you had at User:Don Trace, users cannot have articles in their userspace, unless they have draft articles that they are actively improving. In this case, rather than delete the article you posted at User:Don Trace, I moved it to User:Don Trace/Sandbox, which permits you to keep it for a short time while you work to improve the article. It hasn't been deleted, just moved. Hope this helps, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 14:05, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
