A tag has been placed on Photogeno, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. exolon 21:12, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If I could just add something - never write from the first (or second) person. Saying 'my research' is unacceptable for adding to the encyclopedia. Think about it from the view of the reader - who's research is the article talking about? Who wrote this? Are they expected to look in the history section to decipher who 'my' refers to? AfD nomination

[edit]

Photogeno, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Photogeno satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; the reasons for this nomination are explained in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Photogeno and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Photogeno during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. DMacks 01:54, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please explain what you find disputed about the Coxen Hole article? Unless you provide an explanation for the tag on the article's Talk page, you can't leave a disputed tag on the article, because there is nothing an editor can do to resolve the dispute. Corvus cornix 21:49, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your personal feelings about the notability of the subject matter have no bearing on the use of the disputed tag. Corvus cornix 04:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Fair use rationale for Image:Andy serkis.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Andy serkis.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:July 2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:35, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unacceptable User Warning

[edit]

Please do not add ridiculous false threats to the userpages of other Wikipedia users like you did on User_Talk:Suszeka2. Wikipedia isn't a police force; we don't have the authority to issue fines, and for you to threaten a user with such is inappropriate. In the future, please use a standardized Wikipedia user talk page warning template when possible, and avoid false or legally threatening claims. Thank you. Decline reason:

calling people a loser, telling them to shut up and get a life, uhh, yea, that is a crime on wiki— RlevseTalk 23:45, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Speedy deletion of Hampstead middle school

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Hampstead middle school requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. :-) Stwalkerster talk 22:34, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BOcover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BOcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:26, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
