Army-Notre Dame move discussion

Here, you said keep it at the longer title because of "standard naming conventions". There are no standard naming conventions. Dirtlawyer1 claims that all rivalries contain "football"; many rivalries don't even contain "rivalry". For example, the Wisconsin-Minnesota game is at Paul Bunyan's Axe. More on that on my response at the move discussions. Purplebackpack89≈≈≈≈ 00:23, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

I can't understand what you wrote in response. I think you typed "x" where you meant to type "h". FYI, I'm using "game" synonymous with "rivalry", as football rivalries have one game a year Purplebackpack89≈≈≈≈ 00:38, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Xe is a (?Wikipedia only) shorthand rather than he/she for unknown gender users. (I didn't look if the user specified). Dru of Id (talk) 00:42, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Dru, I've responded on the Notre Dame–Army tall page. Suggest we keep it all there, so others can figure out what was done later. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 01:28, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

RFA thank you

Thank you for your comment and support at my recent successful RFA. Being now the new fellow in the fraternity of administrators, I will do my best to live up to the confidence shown in me by others, will move slowly and carefully when using the mop, will seek input from others before any action of which I might be unsure, and will try not to break anything beyond repair. I greatly apreciated your insight that the project is not too fragile and that if made, errors are fixable. Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 22:15, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi. In Joseph V. Flynn, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page College of the City of New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

please add categories to my article - many thanks in advance Please add categories to Raymond E. Zirkle - thank you Standard2211 (talk) 04:14, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Please post any additional articles within this section; cut & paste article titles, not from the url; please review the other changes I've made; adding categories is easier with familiarity, but propogating the same mistakes through a future series of articles is unnecessary. I appreciate all that you've done, these articles all seem worthy of inclusion and I'm surprised they hadn't even been begun yet. Kudos, and I will work my way through these, maybe before New Years. Request at BLPN

Hi Dru of Id - thanks for the alert at the BLP noticeboard with respect to an AFC submission. You might not be aware that you can email these requests to oversight-en-wp@wikipedia.org. This is preferred when possible because it will alert oversighters directly without increasing the visibility of the problem situation generally. As luck would have it, your message popped up on my watchlist at just the right time.  :) Risker (talk) 03:19, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

Estelle Skidmore Doremus

Thank you for directing me to the gravesite info for Estelle Skidmore Doremus. I incorporated this material into her page. Found it somewhat amazing that there are some people who think a figure like her is not notable. I can't imagine what else she could have done in her life to gain notability! If you have a chance, I'd appreciate you taking a look at a few pages that follow: Underhill Society of America, William Wilson Underhill, David Harris Underhill, and Francis Jay Underhill. There is a concerted effort by some people to erase information about Underhill family members from Wikipedia. I am not sure why. Your help and support would certainly be appreciated. Thank you! re: Garry Hill (baseball)

Thanks much for the fix. Around that time I wanted to finish off the red-links at Atlanta Braves all-time roster, which was roughly 100 articles. It took a bit longer than it would usually take since I wanted to make sure they all had infoboxes, references, categories with all teams majors and minors, WikiProjects baseball, biography, and united states (and specific state), external links with Template:baseballstats, stubs, and even persondata. I lost count how many times I came across Athletics articles without infoboxes, like Ray Blemker. Just wanted to lay the proper framework for someone else that knew more about the articles. Hopefully someday all baseball player articles will be expanded so that they're more than just small footnotes in history. Thanks again for the help.
