Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Dycom Industries

A tag has been placed on Draft:Dycom Industries, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. Request reason:

Good morning. I do not believe that this user should have been blocked nor the page "Dycom Industries" deleted. I am knowledgeable about the communications construction business and and am able to add valuable encyclopedic content around this subject matter. The initial purpose of creating this user was to do just that. I was reading another Wikipedia page that made a specific reference to Dycom and I noticed that there was no related page. I do work for Dycom so I can see the potential conflict of interest but my position is as a Manager of Industry Reporting. To that end it is my job to know about this industry and its participants. There are few others that would be able to contribute to this subject matter in as meaningful of a way. Regarding the "Dycom Industries" page. One of the messages indicated that there was copyrighted material derived from a bbb website. I am not sure who supplied them that description but it was probably Dycom. I am not sure that they really even have the copyright to that description. All that being said I am happy to reword that passage. Dycom however is a Fortune 1000 company with a rich 50 year history. They have helped shape the economies in which they are involved and have contributed immensely to the development of communication systems in this country. Dycom is a major player with a story to tell and I wanted to open up that forum for discussion. If you look at any of the other comparable size companies they ALL have Wikipedia pages; think H&R Block, Steelcase, Twitter, E-Trade, and Spirit Airlines. This is not creating a page to promote a business and in fact its very unlikely that creating that page will have any promotional value whatsoever. This is creating a page to tell a story of a large company that is deeply intertwined in the American economy. It makes sense to have that page for the same reason that it makes sense to have a page for Spirit Airlines. Not because its going to help Spirit Airlines sell tickets, but because knowing their story adds context and color to the airline industry and the economy as a whole. Knowing the story of Dycom will help add similar context and color to our industry and I think this is evidenced by that fact that we are being specifically referred to by existing Wikipedia pages. "Unwilling" is an extremely strong characterization. I never said I was "unwilling" to do anything, ever. I am overly willing to comply if you can explain to me which parts I am not in compliance with so I can rectify them. I disagree that either my account or the page I created should be blocked for the above reasons. Please reconsider your decision and understand that I am completely willing to comply with whatever policies necessary. I fully grasp the potentials for conflict of interest and am willing to work extra hard to ensure that they don't happen. I am also willing to do all of this in a very open and transparent way by disclosing my position and asking for assistance in following the policies. I could have tried some back door way to get a page up and running if that was my number one goal but instead I am attempting to do things the right way. Please help me in this endeavor. Thanks.
