Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Ecsonrexgear, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was User:Ecsonrexgear/sandbox, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! — rsjaffe 🗣️ 18:52, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Ecsonrexgear/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 18:51, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Rexgear Industrial Power Solutions, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Ecsonrexgear, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ecsonrexgear|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:47, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits, I'm just writing based of the facts of the company. I've use other companies's wiki page as reference, and I strongly believe that the article is neural. If you still have concern with intent to promote the company, please specially point out which paragraph or which sentence has that intention. I will make the modification accordingly Ecsonrexgear (talk) 15:23, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you not work for this business? I'm asking because the business name literally appears in your username. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:44, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, of course I know that this email is given by the business and the name is Ecsonrexgear. I was volunteer to do this and I asked the owner to give me an email account to write with so that It would be more credible to write from someone who actually knows the company. I was not benefited by the company through any means, and I tried my best to write it as neutral as possible. Again, please let me know any part the content has promotional intent and I will rewrite it to follow the wiki policy. Ecsonrexgear (talk) 16:53, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Whether or not there is promotional content in the draft, doesn't matter in the context of the paid-editing query.
Whether or not you're a paid employee or an unpaid one (volunteer, intern, etc.), you almost certainly still come under our paid-editing rules.
Given that you have a real-life relationship with the business, you have a conflict of interest, which must be disclosed. Whether you make the generic COI disclosure, or the more specific PAID one, doesn't matter that much, as long as you make one or the other. My advice would be to err on the side of caution and disclose PAID, but only you know the precise nature of your relationship, and only you can therefore decide which one is more appropriate. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:03, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just don't understand how can someone who does not know about the company to write about the company Ecsonrexgear (talk) 17:16, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How to make the generic COI disclosure, or the PAID one Ecsonrexgear (talk) 17:26, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can see that you made the PAID disclosure; thank you for doing that. I have slightly amended it (only technically, so that it works correctly), hope that's okay. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:55, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's fine. please let me know if it's published Ecsonrexgear (talk) 18:28, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
