Hello, Eespino2, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Poaching of Southern white rhinoceros (Africa). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – White_rhinoceros#Poaching. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at White_rhinoceros#Poaching. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Elmidae (talk · contribs) 16:16, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

White rhinoceros poaching

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for contributing some new content on the poaching of white rhinoceroses. However, there's already an article on white rhinoceros, and you should add your content to the poaching section of that article instead to avoid duplicating content and effort. Thanks! Moving article to draft space

[edit]

Hi Eespino2 I just wanted to let you know that I have moved the article that you're working on to draftspace (Draft:Poaching of Southern white rhinoceros (Africa)). It contains many spelling and grammar errors that need to be addressed. You also have inserted your personal opinion into the article, which is called editorializing. Wikipedia articles should not have any personal opinions by the people who write them, as this does not represent a Neutral Point of View—one of Wikipedia's pillars. Sentences like It would be interesting to see how that plays into the government side of rhino poaching are not encyclopedic. I see multiple other instances of personal opinion, including Time will tell the lengths national and local protection agencies are willing to go for rhinos. Grants established by National Protection Agency are also the right steps in the right direction with regards to containing rhino poaching in Africa. If you would like to fix these issues, you can work on the article in the draftspace. Please do not try to move it to mainspace until all the issues have been addressed. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:38, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Eespino2. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Poaching of southern white rhinoceros".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 04:50, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
