Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone
[edit]Hi, EmilySarah99. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, your enthusiasm is an important part of what keeps the project moving forward. This was not vandalism, nor a series of misplaced sandbox experiments, and the edit summaries explain that. To expand beyond the short edit summaries: per MOS:LEAD and {{nvb}}, the lead section is a summary of more expansive key information that is found in the body of the article; there was no mention of the longevity item in the body of the Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone article, which is why it has now been added. If you would like to edit the wording added to the body, always feel free to do that - I am first to admit that my words are never a thing of beauty. The MOS:ENTO edit is a simple housekeeping item; again, no need for a longer edit summary. None of this is vandalism, none of this is a WP:RW situation. Jmg38 (talk) 14:15, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- User:Jmg38,
- The revert of the edit had nothing to do with the lead section of the article, it had to do wit the caption of the photo in the infobox (While chatelaine of Rideau Hall (portrait c. 1940 – c. 1946)) which is reserved for details of the author and year of the photograph. When viewed in context of your other edits, I am able to see that this was a good faith edit and not vandalisim, though the edit summary did little to explain this, "(caption)".

Maria (wife of Boris I of Bulgaria)
[edit]Hello, could you explain how adding a relevant and existing category on the page Maria (wife of Boris I of Bulgaria) is an unconstructive edit. Similar categories (for the right century) are present in other articles of Bulgarian consorts, such as Kira Maria Asenina of Bulgaria, Maria Palaiologina Kantakouzene, Maria-Irene Palaiologina, etc. Thank you. --Gligan1 (talk) 11:57, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Gligan1! At the time, I was working through my watchlist and was intending to revert the typo 'woman' to 'women'. Upon revision, I now notice that it is the other way around, and you had already ammended the error. I'm sorry for the confusion, I clearly need to pay more attention. I've added readded the category now. Happy editing! EmilySarah99 (talk) 12:21, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have just corrected a typo of your readdition. Happy editing to you, too. --Gligan1 (talk) 12:35, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Picture (Tatiana)
[edit]Hello, new user here. I apologize because I am not familiar with how consensus is reached among editors. In my opinion, the Fabergé picture shows Tatiana's face more clearly and makes her features standout while the current portrait has half of her face covered in shadows. I also tried to put pictures that are not from the same year (for example, the first 2 photos we see are both from 1914 so I put one from 1910 while moving the other down the article). Thank you for your review and I hope to hear from you soon. Minephases (talk) 10:30, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- With an article of such quality and popularity, you would be better off discussing changes in the talk page to discuss with other editors before making such changes. No worries, we all learn somewhere. EmilySarah99 (talk) 10:41, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
