Massive changes

[edit]

Yes. Wikipedia:Be bold is Wikipedia's policy. But if you intend to make large-scale changes on a broad range of articles, you may need to notify other Wikipedians in advance to build consensus at, for example, Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Mongolian) or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Central Asia/Mongolia work group. I disagree with your edits, for example, at Yangsanjab[1]. The Qing was a Manchu empire, especially in relation to Mongols, and we need to make it explicit because readers often think the Qing was just another Chinese dynasty. --Nanshu (talk) 01:23, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Enchyin. I've just left a comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Central Asia/Mongolia work group. Sorry for the late reply. --Nanshu (talk) 14:06, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Tibetan naming conventions

[edit]

A while back, I posted a new proposal for Tibetan naming conventions, i.e. conventions that can be used to determine the most appropriate titles for articles related to the Tibetan region. This came out of discussions about article titles on Talk:Qamdo and Talk:Lhoka (Shannan) Prefecture. I hope that discussions on the proposal's talk page will lead to consensus in favour of making these conventions official, but so far only a few editors have left comments. If you would be interested in taking a look at the proposed naming conventions and giving your opinion, I would definitely appreciate it. Manchu-Mongol alliance

[edit]

Hi Enchyin, Before his conquest of Southern Mongolia and Ligden Khagan's death, Nurhaici's relationship with the Mongol tribes (except for one tribe) was purely an alliance. Could you edit your contributions to the article, Mongolia during Qing rule. --Lauren68 (talk) 20:06, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replied earlier. --Enchyin (talk) 18:28, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
