November 2008[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. JNW (talk) 19:40, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see a COI tag notice has already been added here: please make article suggestions on article talk pages. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:25, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Here you removed a COI tag with an edit summary indicating you were adding content; perhaps an error? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:27, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please see Wikipedia:USERNAME#Real names. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:33, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This information is false, and cited only to self at Venezuelanalysis.com; see The Daily Journal. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:50, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

change was accurate, not deceptive[edit]

The Daily Journal no longer exists in Venezuela. Therefore, the Correo del Orinoco International is the only English-language newspaper in Venezuela, and the first created during the Chavez administration. I was not lying! ˜˜˜˜ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evagolinger1 (talkcontribs) 19:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was not accurate; it was not the "first English-language newspaper" in Venezuela, and you should very well know that (as Venezuelanalysis must have known that when they wrote that false headline). If you can't edit correctly with your COI, then please make your suggestions on talk, not to the article. You do not need to post to my talk-- I am following your talk page. "First created during the Chavez administration" is irrelevant except to the myopic. As to whether you were "lying", I did not use those words: I'll leave that to your own conscience. Misleading edit summaries[edit]

Lying in an edit summary to misrepresent the nature of your edit and hide edit warring, as you did here, is entirely inappropriate. Please never do this again. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 18:56, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
