Ways to improve Mississippi Writers Trail

[edit]

@North8000: Hello North, Thank you for your help pointing out ways to improve the page. I wrote both the Wiki page and the page for which it was flagged for copyright (I run this program), so I tried to rewrite this page to make it more distinct from the text from my state agency webpage. I added a lead section, and I have removed the external links. I also added links to the Writers Trail Wiki on other relevant Wiki pages (mostly the authors who have been honored with a marker). I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the revised page and let me know if I have made enough revisions to merit removing the tags.

@North8000: Hello, I am requesting more information about what changes are being requested for the Mississippi Writers Trail Wikipage. I understand that you want me to address an issue, but the issue isn’t apparent from the message above. If you tell me what needs to be fixed, I will do my best to implement the change. Best, Kristen 2601:3C7:8204:2AF0:2D11:EDD0:5C70:B048 (talk) 2601:3C7:8204:2AF0:2D11:EDD0:5C70:B048 (talk) 00:46, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Everydaypsyche: Kristen,
There is one urgent issue (noted by me), and then there are just some general suggestions which were made/tagged by somebody else. The urgent issue is that the beginning of the article is copied directly from a website which was used as a reference. Further, it was not noted with quote marks which makes it a copyright violation which Wikipedia takes very seriously. The website / reference that it was copied from is noted (as a link) in the pink tag which is one the article. I would suggest IMMEDIATELY deleting the copied material and rewriting what is in it in your own words. And then ping me. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 11:12, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
