Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Medford

[edit]

You probably want to talk to the company and get a complete list of articles written about them. Pieces in Blade, American Handgunner, Knives Illustrated and even Tactical Knives will carry more weight. The book is this reference<ref name="WebbDoherty2010">{{cite book|last1=Webb|first1=Brandon|last2=Doherty|first2=Glen|authorlink2=Glen Doherty|title=21st Century Sniper: The Complete Guide|url=http://books.google.com/books?id=ClPffwtcYGMC&pg=PA216|date=15 September 2010|publisher=Skyhorse Publishing Inc.|location=New York|isbn=978-1-61608-001-3|pages=216–217}}</ref>. I'm working on 5 magazine articles currently and have little time for wiki, so email me through my page if you run into any problems.--Mike - Μολὼν λαβέ 17:37, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! will do. Eytankey (talk) 19:56, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Take the following as your guide: We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources.
This lets you know, broadly, where to place the articles in order for references to them to establish notability.
I suggest you avoid the founder's ethos and stick 100% to the corporation if you can. Fiddle Faddle 20:36, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Note taken, I will tell you when the draft will be ready, thank you! Eytankey (talk) 17:57, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I know this will be disappointing, but, when you read the long comment I left on the draft I think you will understand why I have declined it today. Fiddle Faddle 07:52, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I read it, thank you for the long explanation; I don't know what else I can do... :( I looked and looked, translated reviews..., If you don't think it will survive delete process then I think It is better to wait. Thank you. Eytankey (talk) 08:02, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
All you can do is to keep looking. The probable best short term approach is to work with (grrr, my brain has forgotten his name!) the editor from the Blades project to choose which weak references to remove and which to retain, and to keep seeking the strong ones you need. The more I read about the org the more I want a knife! But that doesn't get the baby bathed! I'd hate this article to get trapped by the "Re-creation of previously deleted material" rule, so be wise and refine the draft quietly until you are sure it will pass. If you get it to that state and let me know I'll be happy to offer you advice. As I said before, we want to accept articles. Fiddle Faddle 08:41, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think the only extra thing you can do is to ask at the AFC Helpdesk for all the advice anyone is willing to give you. It's difficult when one feels that something deserves a place but then cannot find the things that allow it to have one, the more so when some bizarre orgs make the cut. The thing to do is to disconnect yourself emotionally from the draft and view it as a surgeon working on a patient they have no interest in except with regard to the procedure they are performing. Fiddle Faddle 09:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC).[reply]
I appreciate your advice, I will try to look more. Thanks Eytankey (talk) 09:55, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
