Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Kabir. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. regentspark (comment) 14:19, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Since all you're doing here is adding links to a blog, I'm afraid it looks like you're a candidate for WP:NOTHERE. Note that not here editors are usually indefinitely blocked. --regentspark (comment) 14:24, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Regent Spark,

You have alleged that the links added to the Kabir page are:-

inappropriate, for ADVERTISING spamming Since all you're doing here is adding links to a blog.

These are my humble submissions:- The links have been added in a separate section at the bottom portion of the blog. The earlier text which is way off the mark and deliberately misleading, similar to other Sikhism-related pages, has not even been touched. All the documents of which links have been added are rare, out of print and copyright free. The advertising motive is abundantly clearly behind the references given in the earlier References section which is full of copyright works. Wonder if this can be called spamming! The links are being added to add value to the page and provide another perspective to the subject under consideration. There is neither the thirst for increasing the page ranking, as the documents have already been viewed and downloaded thousands of times from blogger.com, archive.org, scribd.com, etc nor any monetary angle involved. The current guidelines and policies being followed on wikipedia clearly violate the much publicised and marketed view that wikipedia is a free, open source platform which respects diversity of views.

Hi Fateh1699. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and any content added here has to conform to our policies. Unfortunately, blogs and primary texts don't have encyclopedic value. Rather, we rely of reliable secondary sources to provide reliable interpretations of primary texts. The Sikh Digital Library seems to a commendable and useful endeavor, but it is not appropriate for inclusion here. Best wishes. --regentspark (comment) 16:16, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
