Kalwar etc
- See Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen#Rejected requests April 2012. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:26, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Bits of Kalal were sort-of cut-and pasted to Kalwar in October 2011 and following, which was moved to Kalwar(indian caste) on 31 March 2012, which was moved to Kalwar (Indian caste), which was moved to Kalwar (caste). I'm not quite sure what the story is on the articles, as both Kalal and Kalwar (caste) have histories going back to Feb 2006 and August 2005 respectively; the main casualty seems to be Talk:Kalal, which got left behind and needs histmerging with Talk:Kalwar (caste). My head hurts!!! FlagSteward (talk) 14:55, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Not done WP:Parallel histories and (apparently) text-splitting. I moved Talk:Kalal to be an archive of Talk:Kalwar (caste). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:24, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks
The Hindi page in your sandbox is awesome. To be fair to you, you are placing many more opportunities than we can cope with at the moment. :). I'm keen on these iw Links with Hindi & other languages but since there are so many, I think perhaps we'll pend it a bit till this main assessment drive is done. Immediately after the drive we plan to tweak the WikiProject India template and give a break till the next assessment drive. In that break, I think would be the right time to take up individual issues you have thrown up for improvement. Keep up the great work. Seeing your participation gives us heart that we are on the right track. AshLin (talk) 03:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Its great that you are doing the other stuff - we would not have known even how to do the underlying cleanup. Assessments seem to be well under control & the guys are still gungho. Thanks to YuviPanda's assessment bar, its much easier now. May I request your continued support till we have cleaned up this whole project. It will enthuse a whole lot of other projects too i such a large project like India has done it. AshLin (talk) 10:28, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Re: Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple (Varanasi)
Re your message: The article had been moved once before back in 2010 and I see that you have an ongoing discussion with Bluerasberry about the move on the article talk page. I would prefer that you complete your discussion and come up with a consensus. You may also want to list the potential move discussion at WP:RM so that other interested editors can join the discussion. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:39, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Reg. Copying and pasting articles
Have a look at Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Current_discussions. I requested "Bhonsle Chattrapathi" to be moved to "Babaji Rajah Bhonsle Chattrapathi" on April 14 and the article is yet to be moved. You might also notice that there are unresolved requests from March onwards. We keep requesting moves and the items keep adding to the huge backlog. Now, you were made a lordly rant that I was making things tough for you and wasting your time here.-RaviMy Tea Kadai 17:00, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- That's because the Requested Moves process explicitly allows a week for discussion of the move. You'll notice that the few articles in the backlog are there because there is ongoing discussion about the primary topic for an article name or something similar - that March request has generated pages and pages of discussion. But uncontroversial moves happen on schedule. I've commented in support of that particular move on the talk page. Just as a general comment, it would be good for you to mention any proposed moves on Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics - it will help move things along if other people support your moves, and it causes less stress if controversial moves get discussed rather than have people just do them. Best wishes.FlagSteward (talk) 17:29, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 26
Hi. When you recently edited World Vision Appalachia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chestnut Ridge (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
