image tag

[edit]

Please fix the tag on Image:000003.jpg. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:55, 2 April 2007 (UTC) Actually, looking at where the image is used, this is not fair use. Here are the fair use guidelines for such an image:[reply]

Copyrighted

This image is a screenshot from a copyrighted film, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by the studio which produced the film, and possibly also by any actors appearing in the screenshot. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution screenshots

qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use for more information.

To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.

This is not how the image is being used, so it is not fair use. The image will be deleted shortly. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:58, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commons linking

[edit]

If you will take a look at Mexican Wolf history you can see how I did the linking for the commons tag. I think this is what you were trying to do. Regards, Nashville Monkey 13:00, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh thank you very much darling :-) I was tried to do it... but I failled...In your opinion dear Monkey, Do you think that my edits are costructive? kisses Flavio/Tigre Reietta 13:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think some of your edits are constructive, some are unnecessary. Galleries are unneeded, that's what the {{commons}} tag is for. You also place new sections in the wrong place, study other articles so that you can become familiar with article structure. On a second note, and this is personal opinion, most Americans don't like the terms darling, sweet, or kisses from people they don't know. It is inappropriate at the least, and offensive to many. Please stop. Regards, Nashville Monkey 14:32, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand dear Nashville... but galleries are utiles for eyes :-) I'm an esthetics creature...:-) Alas, Alas no one think that I'm a good wikipedian neither on my own wiki... indeed...there they persecute me for pest control... here for "Galleries" control:-) Alas Flavio/Tigre Reietta 15:18, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(edited for page flow) You are not being persecuted, please stop being so melodramatic. No one here has stated you are a bad wikipedian, we just want you to follow guidelines, policy, and general agreements of each articles talk page. If you want to do some major change to an article ask on the talkpage, if no one disagrees then do it, but if consensus is "no" then leave it alone. There are ways of doing things. Galleries are not "esthetically" needed, like I said, that is what the commons tag is for, it takes the user to a whole page of images. That way the article is not cluttered up with pictures. Regards, Nashville Monkey 18:30, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Hi, sorry for the new messages you got a few minutes ago. I removed the category from the template on this page. This way your user talk won't show up in category screenshot images.

Regarding your images, you uploaded many images, Image:Tn Camac u0.gif for example, without a source. Without a source we can't verify if the image really is in the public domain like you stated. Could you add sources? Otherwise the images will eventually be deleted. Garion96 (talk) 13:07, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but those drawings are copyrighted. See [[1]] Also Image:Workimagethumb21.png which now mentions a free license and a fair use license. You can't have both. The image comes obviously from [2]. It wouldn't fall under fair use in wikipedia since it would fail fair use criteria #1. Garion96 (talk) 14:23, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to the copyright notice on fishbase copyright belongs to the original contributors, it would be impossible to contact them all. The rest of the site is non-commercial which wikipedia unfortunately doesn't accept. The only way unfortunately is to delete them, sorry. :( I will start deleting later. Garion96 (talk) 14:33, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you are a vandal at all. If you added a picture of Pamela Anderson on Turkey moray I might have said differently. :) Garion96 (talk) 14:49, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of your intent, you are more destructive and disruptive to Wikipedia. I'm going to block you again for a month. Take this time to read the various policies that you continue to disregard. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:53, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I do not had any vandalism or any act contrary to the policy of wikipedia...Uther's behaviour is only a persecution. He is not advised me before the block and He never explain me the reals resons of 1 month block... His behaviour is abuse of power and persecution...I tell to one wikipedian's sysop to unblock me

Decline reason:

Why should you persecute me? Why should you blocked me without advertising? I do not

1)Offend no one

2)Vandalize any page

That images that my friend Garrion destroyed were illegale...of course... but I did not know that Fishbase has not legaly images... Plese do not hurt me... I have not guilt...1 month is a too hard punish... Have mercy... OR if you totaly and forever hate me...well...but in that case I suplice you to block me for ever...because after 1 month you returned to persecute me... Have honor YOU ARE A SYSOP NOT A SIMPLE USER... BUT A SYSTEM OPERATOR!! I'm withouth guilt... I swore Flavio/Tigre Reietta 14:04, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not persecuting you. You require baby-sitting. All of your edits need to be reviewed, constantly. No one on Wikipedia should have to babysit another editor. In your zeal of posting images, you do not take the time to understand and find images that are usable, nor do you look for images that are helpful. You have been mostly unhelpful in the edits you have made. Take this time to read all of the policies and procedures and understand them. You are not without guilt. You are guilty of ignorance and guilty of immaturity and guilty of not comprehending English. These qualities combine to make you a nuisance editor. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:33, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've posted a bunch of very useful links at the top of this page. Read them all, particularly the policies and guidelines section. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Those are not guilties for 1 month block...I do not know well english of course... but neither you know italian... so You are guilty?
My edits were to 98 per cent right...I want to speak with another sysop... I want to save myself...
If I were to edit on the it.wiki, with any intention of being understood by Italian speakers, I would indeed be guilty. My only edits on it.wiki were to add interwiki tags to articles - something that does not required even the minimal comprehension of the language. You wer blocked previously for a week, to give you time to learn how to act properly. You haven't learned enough, so the block is longer. - UtherSRG (talk) 17:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please give me another chance... unblock me for 1 day and if I will done anything that you think that it will be hostile to policy...well block me FOREVER... Have mercy have mercy Flavio/Tigre Reietta 14:41, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I love wikipedia dear Stacey and I want to contribute only for growing our splendid project...I'm very discontent that you do not comprend my good intents...alas...I do not have neither without you...:-) Bacause I think that you are a good wikipedian... alas alas you and I would be friends...but it is too late... for both...:-( alas I do not have any hope for the future... in any way... if you have a heart I supplice I SUPPLICE you to block me for everI do not have hope... Alas alas BLOCK ME FOR EVER and cut down my account... or unblock me It is your choice my dear Darkness Angel Flavio/Tigre Reietta 18:45, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will not block you forever. I have given you a month to better study the policies and practices of Wikipedia so that you may become a good and productive Wikipedian. If you choose to continue to be immature and irrational, that is your decision. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

for Stacey

[edit]

Ave dear Stacey I would like to become a good wikipedian when the block will be eradicat (Expirate?), so I listed below some points that I think that prevent me to feature block...If you do not agree with me, write under those points.

  • I MUST NOT insert any galleries
  • I MUST NOT upload copyrighted images
  • I MUST upload free images on commons and NOT on en.wiki
  • I MUST perfected my english
  • I MUST put interwiki links upon "References" if they existed or under the text in any way
  • I MUST NOT think that I should be a persecuted user
  • I MUST NOT work upon several (severald?) articles
  • I MUST NOT attack anyone

But

  • COULD I possibly to insert subspecies's lists if they existed?
  • COULD I put the tassobox if is not existed?

I hope that it will be thge last block... I HATE BLOCKS I HATE BLOCKS Farewell Reguards Flavio/Tigre Reietta 14:37, 12 April 2007 (UTC) Block that cruel vandal Chessdude34 and correct his abominevols articles Flavio/Tigre Reietta 14:54, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alas alas ALAS stormcrow...
What is that supposed to mean? Regards, Nashville Monkey 19:50, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Nashville, a curiosity what is your name? How old are you? I stime you and I considered you a sympatyc and professional sysop...but unfortunately I'm reject...:-( I love wikipedia... I love adorned wikipedia... I'm not a vandal and I'm not a troll... ALAS Flavio/Wiki pest 19:07, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

my name and age are unimportant. I am not a sysop. No one has said you are a troll (to my knowledge). You are not rejected (you're blocked). You are however very very very melodramatic and overboard with your unfounded claims of persecution and unbelievable statements of innocence and "poor me, no one likes me", "feel sorry for me ALAS ALAS". This has a tendency to make others not wish to deal with you. If you spent as much time learning the guidelines and rules as you do looking for other people not following the rules you could be a great wiki contributor. Don't worry about what other people are doing wrong (that's what we are for) you concentrate on yourself and learning how to properly do things so that when your block expires you don't get blocked for a longer time period. One more thing... enough with the ALAS already, give it a rest, it makes no sense. Nashville Monkey 14:06, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ave, excuse me... ALAS is an english word? means "Ahimè"? I read it on Richard III by Shakespeare... I do not understand your las phrase Flavio/Wiki pest 17:55, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me Flavio, I get frustrated with your "melodrama falso del bambino". ALAS is an english word, outside of that play it isn't used very much, your usage of it is "melodrama" ... stop. You think you are being cute, you are not, you are being "deliberatamente denso". You are alienating the very person trying to help you. oh and "give it a rest" means "STOP" Regards, Nashville Monkey 18:23, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, get rid of "Wiki pest" from your signature, it is melodrama and intends to show that you are persecuted, you are not. Regards, Nashville Monkey 19:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Ave dear Nashville

I accepted all the thinks that you proposed to Uther...

BUT

  • I do not want Uther as Menthor because I do not think that HE will be impartial
  • I want to let to work upon several articles

For the rest...I accepted yours orders dear Nashville

Yours Flavio/Tigre Azzurra 10:09, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A mentor is not one to be impartial. A mentor would guide you and help you learn. I believe your mentor should be someone fluent in both English and Italian, and who has shown themselves to be a highly competent Wikipedian, and who has the patience to try to work with you, as well as the strength to deal with your insanity. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:01, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, some rights are reserved. Flavio, maybe you should chose another way to contribute to wiki other than uploading pictures, you don't know what to look for regarding license releases, and your past history of photo uploads is not good. You should stick to information and leave the pictures for people with more knowledge of such things. Once you have a mentor, you can bring these questions to them, they can show you what to look for when determining if a picture can be used. Regards, -- Nashville Monkey 03:30, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm so tired dear Nashville.
Tank you for the information.
Who will be my mentor?
Is he/she an impartial wikipedian?
Could I hope in something?
Alas
Flavio/Tigre Azzurra 11:27, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Starting tomorrow, I will add one week of blocking each time you use the word "alas". Have you read all of the policies? Can you restate them in your own words so that we know you've read them? That will give you something to do while you are waiting for your block to expire. That is the reason for the block, to give you that time to read and understand to policies. - UtherSRG (talk) 13:21, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stacey Stacey Stacey. Why should your threat me? If you think of to afraid me, you are in fatal error... HA. I saw things that you never could image, for God Shake... HA. I fight with enemys that you never could image, for God Shake again. So if you could write into my talk page I beseech your Grace to be more sweet. Methoughts that you have a bit angry with me only because do you think that I am dangerous to en.wiki. I thoughts that your zeal would be lodevol (?) if i would be a wikipedia's enemy...but I'm a good contributor bit less than you... and if that absurde block would be removed I adorne wikipedia. Now I'm withouth utility. My reguards Flavio/Tigre Azzurra 17:02, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I ask that you not use the word "alas" because it is melodramatic. So of course, what do you do, reply with more melodrama as well as failing to reply to the other issues. I actually do not think you are a good wikipedian, although I acknowledge that you think you are. You take up time that could be spent improving articles, and you are excessively melodramatic. Please keep to the facts. Please find someone fluent in Italian and English to be your mentor. Please learn how to better communicate. I'm not angry with you, but I am very annoyed by you. You are correct to think that I will block you again shortly after your block expires. But this is because I know you will not have improved your editing or discussion in a manner befitting a wikipedian. - UtherSRG (talk) 17:23, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What can I do to find a mentor, if I'm blocking??? Please gracious Stacey, contact that user "User:Al pereira " He speak both english and italian and I adore him because he defend me from the cruelty of R. in my own wiki. ask him if he wolud like to become my mentor... Please is the last thing that I request to you. I'm very sorry if my behaviour annoyed you... I hoped, I hope and I will hope to become your friend when you realize that I'm a good person... My regards Flavio/Tigre Azzurra 19:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Al pereira is not an option, They are having some of the same difficulties you are in learning new policies. I suggest you start here, go through the list and make notes of those people who have a userbox on their page that has it-3 or higher AND en-3 or higher. Once your block is over you can then go to their user talk pages and ask politely if they would be a mentor for you. Just some helpful advice, regards, -- Nashville Monkey 12:12, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
