RE: MC Gooderz

[edit]

There are templates specifically for adding information to articles over a period of time, if that's what you wish to do. Take a look at Template:Underconstruction and the templates linked there to see your options. Bellito, master of all things Mac-related (talk) 19:06, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with MC Gooderz. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Dekisugi (talk) 19:14, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but you didn't put the {{hangon}} template. I added there, so an admin can assess the article and you can contest the speedy deletion in the article's talk page. Dekisugi (talk) 19:49, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, sorry. I didn't look the hangon template at the end of the article. Dekisugi (talk) 19:50, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MC GOODERZ

[edit]

why the hell was the page deleted??????????????? Foundationwestford (talk) 23:28, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The construction template does not give you all the time in the world. A few hours is typically the length of time the construction template will afford you. If the page still meets the criteria for speedy deletion, despite having {{hangon}} or construction templates on it, you will only gain a few hours to improve the page before it is deleted. ベリット 話せます 00:22, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

5th season

[edit]

Points for the 5th FIA Formula One World Championship for Drivers were awarded on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis to the top eight finishers at each round.

Before season 5 Toyota dropped Da Matta and BAR promoted test driver Felipe Massa, leaving Schumacher to take the vacant seat at Toyota. Sauber dropped Heinz-Harold Frentzen in place of Japanese driver Takuma Sato.

This season, for the first time, in-season driver replacements were enabled, meaning extra pressure on the driver to perform. A public announcement system allows a team to replace their driver after giving them 2 races(publicly) to perform, they must name the replacement driver. They then must make a decision and are allowed to re-nominate the driver once and only once if they decide against it the first time. Barcelona is the first race a team is allowed to nominate their driver, meaning the first opportunity for a driver to be replaced is after Monaco, before Canada.

6th season

[edit]

Points for the 6th FIA Formula One World Championship for Drivers were awarded on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis to the top eight finishers at each round.

Despite nobody opting to use the driver replacement system last year, the FIA expanded on it by asking teams to name their replacement driver before the season start.

In the biggest move of the summer Fernando Alonso joined McLaren from Renault off the back of two good seasons. With Raikkonen and Coulthard both under contract McLaren possess 3 talented drivers, unfortunately for Raikkonen he lost out, relegated to third driver for the season.

This caused a shake around elsewhere, Renault secured Felipe Massa after an impressive debut season with BAR who themselves signed a man off the back of a debut season, Takuma Sato from Sauber.

Jaguar driver Mark Webber made the move to Sauber and Jaguar signed up rookie Christian Klien.

Initial plans were made to include an 11th team, a 17th track and a new scoring system to reward consistency, mainly giving poorer constructors something to aim at. Although some of these things entered serious discussions none of the plans were installed before Season 6, however it is likely season 7 will see something new.

The full list of 3rd drivers, requested by the FIA: Ferrari: Davidson Williams: Frentzen McLaren: Raikkonen Renault: Kubica BAR: Barretti Sauber: Glock Jordan: Firman Jaguar: da Matta Toyota: Liuzzi Minardi: Wilson

  • Jarno Truli was replaced by Kimi Raikkonen at Williams after Canada. Raikkonen had been given permission to make the transfer after BMW Williams brought out the remainder of his contract from McLaren.
  • Giancarlo Fisichella was replaced by Ralph Firman at Jordan after the British Grand Prix. Firman had been out of a drive for a while and will now replace his former team mate and earn the opportunity to partner the man he replaced.

7th season

[edit]

Points for the 7th FIA Formula One World Championship for Drivers were awarded on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis to the top eight finishers at each round. However small changes were made. Drivers finishing in 9th and 10th positions in 2 consecutive races were awarded 1 point. Driver finishing in 9th and 10th in 3 consecutive non point scoring races were also awarded 1 point.

Following last years discussions to allow an 11th team onto the grid Lucozade F1 beat off other applicants to enter a team. The FIA were drawn to the teams financially backing and ability to attract Jarno Trulli to drive for the team. Trulli had been without a drive since being replaced at BMW Williams but fully expects Lucodaze F1 to challenge for serious points and perhaps make it onto the podium. Lucodaze F1 decided to partner Trulli with last years Ferrari 3rd driver Anthony Davidson.

The FIA scrapped the 3rd driver system after BMW Williams signed Raikkonen from Mclaren instead of using their own - only for them to let him go at the end of the year. The replacement system was kept as it was though after it was used twice last year.

Raikkonen was for the second year running unable to find a drive. In other driver changes Mark Webber rejoined Jaguar after an unsuccessful season with Sauber, he replaced Christian Klien who didn't enjoy a good season himself. Adrian Sutil became the 2nd new name on the grid for season 7 by joining Sauber.

In the biggest news Ferrari finally broke up the Schumacher-Barrichello partnership by replacing the latter with two time world champion Malachi Pianci, Rubens Barrichello took his place at Renault. BMW Williams promoted last years unused 3rd driver Heinz Harald Frentzen to the 2nd seat, a move which surprised many considering his poor year with Sauber in season 5 and last years reluctance to use him when replacing Trulli.
