If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joseph Koh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --Animalparty-- (talk) 22:50, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

June 2015[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Joseph Koh. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. —teb728 t c 23:52, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Joseph Koh. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —teb728 t c 00:45, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Joseph Koh. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. —teb728 t c 00:59, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deleteion of Joseph Koh[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that on the talk page of Joseph Koh you've been saying that all of the information in the article is accurate and presented without bias. While this is generally what all content should be on Wikipedia, something simply existing or information simply being true isn't enough to merit an article. To have an article on Wikipedia, people must meet general notability guidelines. Additionally, there are specific criteria for the notability of people. In general, to meet these guidelines, people must have received significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the subject. What this means is that people have been the subject of non-trivial coverage in secondary sources. If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask me over at my talk page. Furthermore, if this or other articlse is to be graded, you might want to make sure your instructor is familiar with Advice for instructors, and perhaps encourage him or her to take the Training for educators tutorial. In short, class assignments, graded or not, do not trump Wikipedia's policies. You are free to describe yourself on you Userpage, but unless you meet the General notability guidelines, we will not maintain a Wikipedia article for you, true or not. --Animalparty-- (talk) 03:11, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
