Hi Gujarate. I notice that you've been repeatedly adding links to the same website to multiple articles. In general, this is seen as spamming. If you are going to do this, it is best establish consensus among other editors that the website is a reliable source and is appropriate to add to many articles. Thank you. Hi, thank you for the note. I am surprised that this would be considered spam as the content is not only very specifically related to the pages it has been linked to, but also highly relevant with different entreis linked to their own specific page of relevant content. Is this a matter of multiple links in a single entry? I would appreciate your input Gujarati (talk) 06:34, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, repeatedly adding links to the same website to multiple articles is what concerns me. In general, if you want to add many links to the same website, you should only do so if there is support for it from other editors. You could start a discussion, for example, at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Animals and see what others think. Deli nk (talk) 21:31, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, I am not sure I understand your reasoning. Surely classifying something as spam is about how adequate the information is, not how many links you place to a given website. I am sure that sites like the IUCN Red List or Arkive have millions of links to Wikipedia, not because of spam but because of relevant information. Can you clarify why you think the links are not relevant?
There is consensus to include those other links in multiple articles. If you want to add your website to multiple articles, please get consensus to do so first. Deli nk (talk) 12:57, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
