Phnom Penh

Hi Hardworking, what is your source about Phnom Penh's 2006 population? I did not find any hint on google and the different language versions of wikipedia gave me different values. --Bnottelm 09:09, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I actually got it from a book when I went to visit Cambodia 2 months ago. It's kinda like a mini-update to the 1998 census population.--Hardworking

Thank you, I incorporated it into the German version. Could you possibly give me a more precise hint (which month, title of the book) so that I am able to refer to it? --Bnottelm 18:41, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's called Tourism Resort of Cambodia, it's written in Cambodian and it's listed the government's statistic's population for all Cambodian provinces. Are you a Cambodian that knows German?--Hardworking

Unfortunately not, I only visited Cambodia last year and was very enthusiastic about the country. So I worked on some articles related to that. --Bnottelm 08:12, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, so what made you visit Cambodia?--Hardworking

Oh I visited a friend who worked for the German Development Service (GDS) in Phnom Penh. --Bnottelm 09:54, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Phnom Penh Satellite Image.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC). [edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Phnom Penh.gif, by Paxse (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Phnom Penh.gif is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Phnom Penh.gif, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:39, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oddar Meanchey query

[edit]

Hi! I saw that you edited the Oddar Meanchey page and I have a question that perhaps you can help me answer.

I am working on an SVG map of Cambodian provinces, starting from the UN map of 2004 (3860 Rev 4, from the Cartographic section). But that map shows boundaries prior to 1995, with Kep, Pailin and Oddar Meanchey not shown.

Some maps, such as this one from Canby Publications, show the border between Oddar Meanchey and Siem Reap as resembling a W. Others, such as this one at the Ministry of Tourism site, show the middle portion of the border as a straight horizontal line.

I have a 50-page book that my wife brought back from Cambodia in September called the "School Atlas of Cambodia," which shows the border as a straight line. But that is part of the "Atlas of Cambodia" project, whose online map shows the W.

The low-res map of the Provinces of Cambodia used here at Wikipedia also shows the W version.

Can you advise as to the best authority for the current boundary of the Cambodian provinces?

Thanks. Rsperberg (talk) 16:34, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:51, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kampot (city), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Kampot, Cambodia. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Your new article, Sala Krau District

[edit]

Do you happen to have any sources or references for your new contribution? Remember that unsourced material can be challenged and removed at any time. Also, you do not explain its notability, and it may be tagged under CSD. Thank you. ——Mr. E. Sánchez Wanna know my story?/ Share yours with me! 23:10, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I replied to your message on my talk page, but, anyway, I think you should change the UNSOURCED or REFERENCES tag on the article to REFIMPROVE ({{refimprove|date=July 2008}}) to let others know you need more sources (the one you listed is cool, but we need a little more). If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mokod Pich Jewelry Enterprise requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 13:42, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mokod Pich Jewelry Enterprise has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely unreferenced semi-advertisement

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
