March 2020

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jai49. I noticed that you recently removed content from Henry Cavill without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jai49 (talk) 11:49, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jai49: That was an honest mistake on my part. I meant to undo the previous edit, the guy I reverted beat me to it and I reverted his by mistake. Had I realised, I would have self-reverted right away Hb1290 (talk) 13:03, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please be careful about WP:3RR and WP:BLP. Thanks for the report, but this isn't monochrome – it's pretty grayscale. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 04:29, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are in error about my edit. I am a client of Dynadot. The piece I removed has NOTHING WHATSOVER to do with Dynadot. It doesn't belong there. Please remove it! "Hello, I'm Hb1290. I noticed that you removed topically-relevant content from Dynadot. However, Wikipedia is not censored. Please do not remove or censor information that directly relates to the subject of the article. If the content in question involves images, you have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide images that you may find offensive. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake," — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.97.31.22 (talk) 23:55, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@75.97.31.22: While I agree that the weight given to that lawsuit is probably WP:UNDUE, blanking it entirely was unneccesary. Also, based on what you have just stated in this message, you have a WP:COI and should not be editing that page yourself. Instead request edits on the article's talk page. Proof

[edit]

I don't mean to get into an edit war, I simply want proof to a so-called source, am I asking too much? 108.208.137.67 (talk) 04:04, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I totally get it, but you just weren't going about it the right way. I see now you've posted on the article's talk page. That's what you should have done in the first place when you got reverted. Hb1290 (talk) 04:10, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i noticed that you dropped a copyvio template on the page saying it was copied from a US government website. however, US government works are generally Public domain as per [1]. it's rather unlikely that the Architect of the Capitol's website is copyright. see also WP:PD#US_government_works -- Aunva6talk - contribs 05:50, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

block notices may be removed

[edit]

Hi Hb1290, while your reversal is fine, WP:UP#CMT only refers to declined unblock requests, not block notifications – which have served their purpose when they've been read 🙂 ~ ToBeFree (talk) 08:23, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. Thanks for the heads up. Hb1290 (talk) 09:07, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
