Orphaned non-free media (File:USC NewYork.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:USC NewYork.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:51, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ukrainian Heraldry Society, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://uht.org.ua/en/about/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) VWBot (talk) 18:07, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'am an author of the website http:uht.org.ua . So, I hold the copyright to this text and permit its use under the terms consistent with Wikipedia's policies. Herald63 (talk) 20:07, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History of the Poles in the United States

[edit]

Given your high fluency in Polish, I am reaching out to you in regards to the History of the Poles in the United States article. It has no Polish equivalent, and any time you can spend towards translating in any capacity would be much-appreciated. I would be more than happy to help any way that I can.

Thank you! Pola.mola (talk) 20:05, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stepan Nechai moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Stepan Nechai, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please add enough citations that are reliable before moving the page into mainspace again. Thanks.ItcouldbepossibleTalk 04:01, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
