Information icon Hello, Hotel de Bernuy. We welcome your contributions, but it appears as if your primary purpose on Wikipedia is to add citations to sources you may be affiliated with.

Editing in this way is a violation of the policy against using Wikipedia for promotion and is a form of conflict of interest. The editing community considers excessive self-citing to be a form of spamming on Wikipedia (WP:REFSPAM); the edits will be reviewed and the citations removed where it was not appropriate to add them.

If you wish to continue contributing, please first consider citing other reliable secondary sources such as review articles that were written by other researchers in your field and that are already highly cited in the literature. If you wish to cite sources for which you may have a conflict of interest, please start a new section on the article's talk page and add {{Edit COI}} to ask a volunteer to review whether or not the citation should be added.

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 21:55, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrights and licenses

[edit]

Anyone else may edit text you have submitted. You have no grounds (copyright or otherwise) to forbid it, since you gave Wikipedia a license to host and modify it. That is part of Wikipedia's terms of use, which you agree to every time you submit an edit. MrOllie (talk) 21:40, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you can edit the text. But your edit cannot violate the copyright of the author of the article or book you are citing. You are using materials from the article "Vasileva E.V. (2018) Deconstruction and Fashion: Order and Disorder // Fashion Theory: The Journal of Dress, Body and Culture, no. 4 (50), pp. 58–79." and do not link to the original source. In its current edition, as a result of your edits, the article Deconstruction (fashion) is an example of copyright infringement. Hotel de Bernuy (talk) 19:47, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No. The author has no copyright claims here, unless you copy and pasted content from their work directly into the article. Did you do that? MrOllie (talk) 00:22, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you use this or that text to write a Wikipedia article, you MUST give a footnote to the source. The absence of links or footnotes to the text used is a violation of copyright. Wikipedia article on Deconstruction in Fashion in your edit is an example of copyright infringement. Hotel de Bernuy (talk) 17:40, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't answer the question. Did you copy and paste actual words or sentences into the Wikipedia article? MrOllie (talk) 17:48, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't corrected your edit, which is an example of copyright infringement. Hotel de Bernuy (talk) 15:09, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't answered my question, which is necessary to evaluate whether copyright is being infringed. MrOllie (talk) 15:11, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Continuing to edit war while making false copyright claims is not going to work. MrOllie (talk) 01:59, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
