If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ryan Huddart requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of articles

[edit]

Since two articles you created are up for deletion, I would like to take a moment to explain why in a little more detail. In order to have an article on Wikipedia a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria called notability. For footballers there are two relevant guidelines in determining whether or not a subject is notable. The first is the general notability guideline, which says any subject which has received significant coverage in reliable source sources is presumed notable. In the context of football, significant coverage does not include routine sports coverage such as match reports, squad lists, player profiles, and transfer announcements, and so this guideline is not met for the two articles in question. The other is the football-specific notability guideline, which says that any footballer who has played for his country's senior national team or in one of the fully professional leagues listed here is notable. What is particularly relevant to your creations however, is the following text from the guideline: Note: For the purposes of this guideline, played means having appeared in a match either in the starting line-up or coming on as a substitute. Youth players are not notable unless they satisfy one of the statements above, or if they can be shown to meet the wider requirements of WP:GNG. Since both your articles are on youth footballers who have not yet played for Arsenal's senior team they do not meet this guideline either. While they may do one day, at present they do not unfortunately belong on the 'pedia. I hope that clears things up. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or to my talk page.
