Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Hugo8888. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Heidi Quante, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bbb23 (talk) 16:54, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Bbb23 all the edits made recently to the artist Heidi Quante wikipedia page are valid.
- I understand I should not have added direct links to many of the sources. Lesson learned.
- I and others are just trying to add Female Artists to Wikipedia as their is a painful and obvious lack of female artists represented on wikipedia.
- I also noticed Wikipedia deleted photos that were posted by other contributors. Why?
- Also the information that HighWaterLine is an organization is false, HighWaterLine is not an organization, it is an art project Hugo8888 (talk) 17:30, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Bb23,
- Might you please explain why my recent reply to you today has been deleted?
- All the changes made recently to the wiki page for Female Artist Heidi Quante are valid.
- I understand I should not have created live links.
- I am just trying to help Wikipedia highlight more Female Artists as Wikipedia has a serious lack of Female Artists represented on this platform.
- Also why were images posted to the website for the female artist Heidi Quante by contributors deleted? Hugo8888 (talk) 17:37, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
Might you please explain why my recent reply to you today has been deleted?
. I see no evidence of that. Indeed, you've posted the same message here twice. Based on your undeclared COI with respect to Quante, you cannot edit the article directly again. First, you must declare your COI on your userpage, and, second, if you want to change the article, you must use the article Talk page and propose the changes. If you edit the article directly, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:06, 14 January 2023 (UTC)- Understood
- Wanting more female artists to be represented on Wikipedia is all some of us are trying to do.
- There is a horrible lack of female artists on Wikpedia's platform.
- It is also very confusing why Wikipedia has deleted specific public images of Quante that do not violate any of Wikis photo policies. Hugo8888 (talk) 18:22, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

. Bbb23 (talk) 19:15, 14 January 2023 (UTC)- Dear Bbb23 are you a male who doesn't like women to be highlighted on Wiki?
- Just wondering why Wiki removed public images of the female artist Heidi Quante posted to Wiki according to Wikis own guidelines. Hugo8888 (talk) 19:54, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- TPA revoked.--Bbb23 (talk) 02:44, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
