A tag has been placed on Giampaolo Pozzo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Giampaolo Pozzo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Kotiwalo (talk) 17:00, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Kotiwalo (talk) 17:03, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Giampaolo Pozzo. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. —SpaceFlight89 (talk) 17:13, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion templates[edit]

I don't believe that you are doing this maliciously but removing speedy deletion templates is not good behaviour. If you want the page to stay, place a hangon - tag beneath the speedy deletion tag. Then explain your point of view on the talk page. I suggest that you read this as it helps you improve the article to better reflect his notability - if he fails all the criteria, he isn't notable enough. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Hussain udinese! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 871 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Giampaolo Pozzo - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi Hussain udinese, I just wanted to let you know that I took a look at your recently created article Daniel Bello-- It would be great if you could also improve the related article Cristian Battocchio.

And have a beautiful day! Cheers, Jipinghe (talk) 03:27, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Simone Sbardella has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re: Proposed deletion[edit]

The deletion of the four articles you created had nothing do with how the article was written. The concern was the subject of the articles. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. As such we can't have articles on every footballer. In order to merit an article on Wikipedia, a subject must be considered notable. A footballer is considered notable, if he has played in a fully pro league, if he has played for his country's national team, or if he meets the gneral notability guideline. The four footballers in question had not yet made their first team debut. However, should any of them make their debut in Serie A, most administrators will restore articles they deleted if presented with evidence that the delete rationale is no longer valid. I hope that clears things up. Keep up the good work. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:06, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
