License tagging for Image:Acieiv.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Acieiv.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:ACLaw.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:ACLaw.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Tellyaddict 17:06, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2008 NBA Draft[edit]

Hello Iceman,

I've been reverting your edits to the article 2008 NBA Draft because what you have been adding is pure speculation. None of those players you've added are even in university yet! Wikipedia is not a crystal ball and it is highly unencyclopedic to add predictions to the web site. Please refrain from continuing to do this. Thank you--Thomas.macmillan 17:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image uploading[edit]

Hi--you're uploading a lot of images that look like they're copyrighted work. Just a heads up that they will probably wind up getting deleted unless you're able to provide evidence that they're your photos (i.e. you took them) or that you have permission from the copyright holder to publish them here. Dppowell 15:00, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For example, see this image I uploaded:

See the licensing info beneath it? I'm identifying myself as the person who took the photo and I'm giving permission for others to use it. If you didn't take the photo, it gets trickier. It's a pain, but it keeps Wikipedia out of hot legal water. Dppowell 15:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Red Lion Christian Academy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 18:33, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
