Weekloy

[edit]

You moved your user page to Weekloy. In its current form, it is subject to "speedy deletion" as advertising (see WP:Criteria for speedy deletion#G11 for details).

I moved it to your "user space" where it is less likely to be deleted immediately. You can find it at User:Infofk/Weekloy. To avoid summary deletion, please re-word it as soon as possible so that it is not a "blatant advertisement."

In any case, an encyclopedia page on this topic cannot exist unless the topic itself meets Wikipedia's "notability" standards. Most web sites of this nature do not meet Wikipedia's criteria to have an article. Before attempting to write an article, please read WP:Your first article, WP:Notability, and the notability-related pages linked on those two pages that are relevant to the topic you want to write about.

Also, editors are encouraged to use the WP:Articles for creation process for the first few articles they write. It takes longer, but the feedback can help save frustration in the long run.

By the way, please read WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Paid-contribution disclosure. If either apply to any topic you are writing about, you should follow the instructions in those documents. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:57, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Weekloy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:59, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If the "speedy deletion" request is declined, I intend on nominating this page for deletion using the 7-day discussion process outlined at WP:Articles for deletion. The reason is that this topic does not appear to meet Wikipedia's "notability" requirements to have an article in the first place. Please read WP:Your first article and WP:Notability for more details. I am telling you this now because I don't want to waste time writing about a non-notable topic. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:47, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Infofk. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Weekloy, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Also, User:Infofk/Weekloy, which is an earlier version of Weekloy. Your username, "Infofk", is similar enough to the initials of the founder of Weekloy to make me raise the question - do you have any connection with this topic or its principals at all? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:49, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
