November 2019[edit]

Hello, I'm Masumrezarock100. I noticed that in this edit to List of fake news websites, you removed all the content from the page. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia. MarnetteD|Talk 05:38, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Are you an administrator? On what authority do you threaten to block my access? Infoholic (talk) 05:46, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Any editor can and usually should warn when they think they see vandalism. Collect enough warnings and you can be reported. I'm an Administrator so you can be assured I know what I'm talking about. Doug Weller talk 10:32, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to fake news page.[edit]

I think you were mistaken. I removed one row from the list, and left the reminder of the list intact. Infoholic (talk) 05:23, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that warning was a bug in SWViewer. But please don't remove sourced information. Instead first discuss it on the talk page. Thanks! Masum Reza📞 05:26, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Doug Weller talk 10:33, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And now that you are aware of the sanctions, any Administrator can either block you or topic ban you from American politics if you continue with similar edits. You can use the talk page but you won't get anywhere if you argue that Infowar doesn't carry fake news. Doug Weller talk 10:35, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

November 2019[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at List of fake news websites shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
