[edit]Hello, Iranianguy, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. - LouisAragon (talk) 15:24, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Iranian Americans. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
I don't dispute that the content which you add to it might be taken from the source itself, but you have been using another account to edit the information into the article. This is not allowed per Wikipedia's guidelines (WP:SOCK). Do you have any additional accounts apart from TireAshkani? - LouisAragon (talk) 19:17, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
Nope, Tireashkani is the only other account I have I believe. Don't remember any other accounts tbh. Btw, im just trying to add description to the Iranian american wiki page, backed up by statistics, why then are my edits being deleted?
- Iranianguy, with exceptions that are not applicable here, you are permitted to have only one account at Wikipedia. Normally, I would block Iranianguy because it is the later account (I don't know why you created it), but given that you acknowledge the earlier account, I'll give you a choice: which account do you want to keep?--Bbb23 (talk) 14:41, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
Gonna keep Iranianguy. Btw, can you answer me why my wiki edit wont be acknowledged even though its taken from the same source as the rest of the info added on the page (Iranian americans)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Seema Kennedy, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 11:53, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Alright, I changed it again and heres the source about her being mixed and not fully Iranian. https://toptopic.com/posts/making-history-seema-ghiassi-kennedy-britain-s-first-mp-of-iranian-descent-23466
Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Seema Kennedy. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Not cited in the article. Mattythewhite (talk) 11:11, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- Someone can be mixed and "of Iranian descent" being "of Iranian descent" does not necessarily mean both parents are Iranian.Brustopher (talk) 17:21, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
But by only stating that shes of Iranian descent youre leading people to believe that shes only Iranian 100%, when shes not. Her mothers British. Iranianguy (talk) 00:04, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]The comment section is not a wp:reliable source (RS) as anyone can pretty much say anything without much fear of consequences. See WP:NOTRS. Please do not replay without an RS. - Heres an actual source statung that her mothers british: The MP’s British mother and Iranian father met and married in Blackburn, Lancashire, in the 1960s. At the time, her mother was training to be a nurse, and her father was studying textiles and business at Blackburn Technical College, which had one of Britain’s first computers. http://kayhan.london/en/profile-seema-ghiassi-kennedy/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iranianguy (talk • contribs)
- That, I would think, acceptable. Please give a more complete citation? I would recommend
{{cite web}}
. See help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes. URL, title, date, publisher, accessdate would be the minimum. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 00:20, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

We should change it. The Page was good the way it was before where it included all ethnic Persians and not only Iranian ones.
Unsourced additions - again
[edit]Who changed the Persian people page? Persian is an ethnicity ffs, much like arab or turk. Persian = all people who speak Persian or a dialect of the Persian language not just Iranian Farsi speakers. Tajiks, Ajams, Hazaras, Farsiwans, Tats,p etc.. are all Persian. Whoever changed that page is spreading misinformation on purpose.
^Exactly, thank you. 570ad (talk) 09:40, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Persian people. - Arjayay (talk) 07:25, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
