You are an inappropriate user.

Hope you learn to make better decisions in life. Hope you learn manners. Hope you learn sensibility. If you have family, now you should spend more time with your family, and stop editing the bullsh*t cowdung Wikipedia. You won't regret later on.

How dare you blocked my accounts. Hoe dare you spilled water over all my endless hard work on Wikipedia.

I've been on Wikipedia longer than you. How dare you didn't accept my gratitude first and then threatened me with such bad messages on my talkpage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4052:E97:6F35:0:0:C7CA:1B01 (talk) 09:52, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

about Nuclear receptor nomenclature

[edit]

Hallo!

2DBD-NRs Discovered in 2006[1] and already occupying the NR7 NRNC Symbol, it has been accepted by some articles.[2][3]

NR8 subfamily was discovered in 2015,[4] renaming it[5] or some of the amphioxus NR1Hs genes[6] to NR7 is a misreading. This will cause a lot of inconvenience, and Wikipedia should reduce this kind of misreading.

PS: Cytochrome P450#Nomenclature has its Cytochrome P450 Homepage and CYP Allele Nomenclature Committee. Is there a similar in Nuclear receptor?

--Htmlzycq (talk) 07:15, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings!

It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like: "What about lunch?"

                                      A. A. Milne

I had two pieces of Jimmy Dean country mild sausage and three fried eggs (over easy) with shredded hash browns for breakfast, with a liberal sprinkling of Cholula Hot Sauce on the hash browns. I also had two slices of Nature's Own honey wheat bread toasted to perfection, with a generous slathering of butter and honey. Did you know that honey will last forever?[7] When excavating ancient Egyptian tombs, archeologists have found pots of honey amongst the tombs artifacts, thousands of years old, but yet still preserved.[7]
Fun fact: Winnie-the-Pooh loves honey.[8] Isaidnoway (talk) 14:09, 12 October 2023 (UTC) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯[reply]

Anne Edwards

[edit]
es. I am Anne Edwards' daughter, Catherine Edwards Sadler.
She died on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Beverly Hills at 7:30 am. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2Yobspp1QqGzzP7SfftW350BLtwk-yxomucH80/?img_index=1 If I am not a reliable source, I don't know who is. We are filing an obituary with the LA Times and perhaps this update has to wait until then. I know my brother, Michael Edwards https://www.instagram.com/p/C2acdWcR1B6/ tried to add the death date as well, given she is a public figure and felt it important for it to reflect her passing. I have been told by the funeral home that the city of Los Angeles takes a good 5-6 weeks week for the death certificate and that seems like a long time to have incorrect information about her on Wikepedia. 76.170.48.250 (talk) 23:50, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
76.170.48.250 — I am very sorry for your loss, you have my deepest sympathy. Per our policies, we do require a published reliable source for confirmation on the date of death. Your mother appears to be a well known biographer, so I checked with some major newspapers like The New York Times and The Washington Post, etc. and they are not reporting her passing away yet. As soon as you are able to get a obituary published, please reach out and let me know, and I will assist you in updating her article. In the meantime, I will keep checking the newspapers to see if they have reported it. I understand this is a difficult time for you and your brother, but our policy is really strict on reporting deaths. Thank your for reaching out, I appreciate it. Changes to Death of Eleanor de Freitas

[edit]

Hello, Isaidnoway. You recently reverted back some changes to "The Death of Eleanor de Freitas". Please could you change it back on the following basis. The Copyright of the Court of Appeal belongs to the Crown. The bailii website whom you state owns the copyright, in fact copied the judgement themselves onto their website, they are not the copyright owner, so there are no infringements to them. Court of Appeal Judgements in England are subject to an "open licence" when it comes to Copyright, which means anyone can copy them. Which is why bailii can copy it, and why wikipedia or anyone else can copy it. A court judgement is a public document, it is not w work of literature of a commercial work. So please could you change this back, on the basis there is no copyright infringement. 217.44.67.79 (talk) 16:17, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, even if the content is not copyrighted, we don't copy/past entire paragraphs from court documents. We use reliable secondary sources to analyze and interpret those documents, and then report what they publish. Isaidnoway (talk) 16:25, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The current status of this wikipedia page is 80% in favour of de Freitas. It is not in balence. Most of the references are from feminists of people who had absolutely no connection to the case other than speculating. The actual facts in court documents are mostly committed and replaced with opinion. This is about court cases, yet the material from court documents is not allowed. This is absurd. An interview with Economou is not allowed because he was interviewed by a right wing newspaper, the Daily Mail? Really. An actual interview is dismissed? Yet de Freitas allegations are quoted word for word. Wikipedia is a load of old rubbish. It is people like you who cause problems and create fake news. 90.255.71.4 (talk) 22:54, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What is your connection to Alexander Economou? Do you have a conflict of interest in regards to this article? Isaidnoway (talk) 23:13, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

List-defined reference?

[edit]

I saw your edit/comment on the Quad Inc. page and wasn't sure what it meant. Would you mind explaining further? I was just publishing citations as I have on other Wikipedia pages and am curious if I should be doing something different. TIA. Kikosays (talk) 16:36, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the edits you made to the article, you removed list-defined references, as seen here. See the help page for further information, so in the future, you can fix these citation errors yourself. Please also see show preview - below the edit box is a "Show preview" button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually implementing your edits. It is strongly recommended that you use this before hitting "Publish changes", that way, if your edit(s) created a citation error, you can fix it before you publish your edit. Thanks. Kids Magazine!

[edit]

Hi @Isaidnoway, I just want to say I really appreciate the new information you added about the 1970s KIDS Magazine! I own issues 1-21 and 23 and really loved it when I was a kid. Do you happen to know what the final issue was? I’m always on the lookout on eBay! Keithgreenfan (talk) 22:00, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Keithgreenfan, when I first came across that article during the WikiProject Unreferenced articles's FEB24 backlog drive, I had never heard of that magazine, and was worried it was so obscure that I wouldn't be able to find any sources for it. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of coverage it had actually received in its heyday. And then of course later on it received coverage because of Jenette Kahns initial involvement. But to answer your question, no, I don't actually know when the last issue came out, but eBay and other commerce sites are your best best, as you mentioned. Good luck. Isaidnoway (talk) 01:40, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay thanks @Isaidnoway! I’m glad you beefed up the references for the article! Keithgreenfan (talk) 10:39, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! can you recheck Heibai Wuchang entry under 2020s list as based on citation and sources was aired before 2020s so I moved it to 2016s ,since its gone should be moved to 2010s? ,also this article is about Chinese Animations and not the historical ,mythical origins of the same Title, see "In popular culture" section of Heibai Wuchang and follow the citations I made there to see what I mean, this asides awesome thanks for the assist in making the page better.

Pennsylvania Railroad class T1

[edit]

Hello I noticed you and Shadow311 recently reverted an IP user(s) edits to Pennsylvania Railroad class T1. I just noticed that large number of edits have occurred again by an IP editor(s). You might want to give it a review.

Also, have you noticed any vandalism trends on Pennsylvania railroad articles? Classicwiki (talk) If you reply here, please ping me. 02:02, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Classicwiki - my guess it is the same user judging by the proximity of their geolocations and the same pattern of editing behavior. I only ran across the article because it was listed in a category where I was doing clean up of citation errors. I'll have a look though and review their edits. And no, I have not noticed a pattern of vandalism on Pennsylvania railroad articles. Thanks for reaching out. Isaidnoway (talk) 09:22, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A question concerning screen readers

[edit]

I think I've dealt with your concern about colors at comparison of anti-ballistic missile systems by adding a question mark to the status of the items noted as questionable by color. The other entries already had out-of-service dates/status and in-development notes. My question now concerns flagicons. The flagicons now display with the name "Republic of Korea" etc below - does a screen reader perceive that? If not, how do you suggest it be approached? I'm no big fan of flagicon decorations, but in this case they do help with quick orientation. Acroterion (talk) 01:38, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Acroterion, I didn't notice the Period of use column, so yeah, that column works, my apologies. Might I suggest to match the same terminology in the 'Legend', with the table, specifically Under development or In development and Unknown status or Awaiting development, so they match, while screen readers can not read colors, it will read those words in the legend. And the flag icons are fine because they are accompanied with the text of the country. Thank you for reaching out on this issue, I appreciate it. I will remove the tag since it is not required. Isaidnoway (talk) 02:29, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'll make the wording consistent throughout, there's really no distinction between "under development," "in development," etc., it was just the way it developed over several days of editing. Thanks for your help, that table format isn't something I've worked with very much, almost everything I've done has been in prose. Acroterion (talk) 12:05, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit here unreverted a reversion I had made here. Please re-read WP:BRD. Please do not WP:Edit War. The edit summary of my reversion had said: Reverted good faith edits by Isaidnoway (talk): The reason for removing the clarifying quotation was not explained. Your unreversion said: Undid revision 1223404102 by Wtmitchell (talk) *clarifying quotation* was not removed, as can clearly be seen in the ref. The quote at issue reads: "The sovereignty of a State is co-extensive with its territorial limits.", and can clearly not be seen in any ref in the article following your unreversion. Please fix this. Work and publisher

[edit]

A television station is a publisher, not a work: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hackney_Diamonds_Tour&diff=next&oldid=1225407935 Please undo this. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 09:09, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Justin - No, I will not undo a valid and legitimate edit. The work parameter is an acceptable use for the cite news template, as shown in the template documentation, and I have used the work parameter thousands of times in the cite news template when creating references. Additionally, the work parameter is an alias for the website parameter, and the source for the information comes from a website. You had no cause to change a valid citation in the first place. Moving it to the references section per WP:LDR is fine, but you had absolutely no reason to redo a citation to your personal preference. Please leave it alone. Thanks. Isaidnoway (talk) 13:40, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did have a reason, which is that the news station was the publisher, so I listed it as the publisher. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 15:16, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you just needed to add a ref name and move it to the references section. Instead, you changed the citation to your personal preference. Isaidnoway (talk) 20:24, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You wrote that I had no cause and that is untrue. I had a cause. The news station is the publisher, not the work. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 21:27, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, what I wrote is that you had no cause to change a valid citation, and it was a valid citation because the work= parameter is a valid parameter for the cite news template. If you don't like the fact that a news station can be used in the work= parameter as a valid use of that parameter, then you need to take your complaint elsewhere, because you repeating the same argument over and over here on my talk page is getting tiresome. Isaidnoway (talk) 22:16, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s a valid parameter, but you put in inaccurate information. A TV station is not a creative work, it is a publisher. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 22:36, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I already told you it is a valid citation, and I will not undo my edit. Your refusal to drop the stick is making me uncomfortable. Please leave me alone. Isaidnoway (talk) 05:18, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not a redundant ref on George Platt Lynes

[edit]

Hi, Isaidnoway! Thank you for your work fixing references.

I wanted to let you know that your edit here (presumably redundant ref in your edit summary referred to "JRLObit") removed a reference that was not redundant. I re-inserted & re-enabled "JRLObit" because this citation establishes that Joseph Russell Lynes was his father & died in 1932. This information is not contained in the skimpy "NYTObit". Source of Errors

[edit]

I've figured out the reason that the Kanye presidential campaign article got messed up when I attempted to edit it. I have a Windows computer and thus flag emojis do not appear for me, instead they appear as regional indicator characters (such as 🇺🇸 for the American flag). I installed the browser extension Flagmoji to make flags appear for me. This causes flag emojis to be replaced with the flags in appearance but they are actually searched and replaced with the long string of code "<img src="https://flagcdn.com/us.svg" alt="<img src=" https:="" flagcdn.com="" us.svg"="" style="width: 0.9em; padding: 0 0.05em">" style="width: 0.9em; padding: 0 0.05em">". There were US flag emojis in the Kanye West article and the web extension searched and replaced the emojis, breaking the code. I will disable the extension so that this doesn't happen again, deepest apologies. ARandomShyGuy (talk) 23:21, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

South Yorkshire

[edit]

Hi @Isaidnoway, what was the reference error on the South Yorkshire page? The infobox shouldn't be pulling any data for metropolitan counties using the GSS code so I'll need to fix the infobox code but I can't identify any errors? Thanks Dgp4004 (talk) 23:08, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page listed at pages with incorrect ref formatting - a list-defined reference has no name. When I changed it back to just one GSS code, the reference error disappeared. Could have been a glitch maybe, don't know, but the ref error went away when it was changed back to one code. I'll keep an eye out and see it it re-appears in CAT:REF if you reinsert the codes again, and let you know. Thanks. Isaidnoway (talk) 23:17, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, there are also three other UK ceremonial county articles listed in CAT:REF - Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, but I'm not see any cite errors visible in those articles like there was on the South Yorkshire page. Isaidnoway (talk) 23:26, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Isaidnoway. I have added it back. I can't find any cite errors. Is it back in the list? Dgp4004 (talk) 06:47, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, it is not back on the list, and the other three mentioned above are gone as well. I sometimes wonder if it is the BOT that checks for ref errors on pages that has a glitch once in a while and incorrectly adds pages to that cat that don't actually have ref errors. Anyway, thanks for reaching out. Isaidnoway (talk) 08:58, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
