K-1 Prod

[edit]

I removed the Prod you reinserted on K-1. Once an article has been prodded and the Prod has been removed for any reason it can never be Prodded again. You Prodded it on 6 Oct and King of Hearts removed it the same day. At this point you have 2 choices, either accept it as an article or take it to Artices for Deletion. Regarding your message about kickboxing

[edit]

Thanks for your message. Yes, I noticed that Marty Rockatansky and Jsmith006 were no longer editing. I wanted to contact you regarding your comment about some external collaboration. I do not know if you had checked Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Martial arts/Kickboxing task force, but I had proposed that any articled nominated for deletion could be moved to an external Wiki, WikiKick. I was thinking that perhaps you could offer some suggestions regarding that. The main problem with kickboxing events is the WP:GNG as most events cannot produce at least to reliable third-party sources to prove that an event meets the GNG. But an external Wiki does not need to meet the GNG, so perhaps an external collaboration could be a good destination for good kickboxing articles that cannot be in Wikipedia. What are your thoughts on that?

By the way, if you have the time, please check WP:KICK, particularly Wikipedia:WikiProject Martial arts/Kickboxing task force/Guidelines for articles about kickboxers and Wikipedia:WikiProject Martial arts/Kickboxing task force/Guidelines for articles about kickboxing events. I created these updated guidelines with Marty Rockatansky and Jsmith006, but I think that they could be improved, particularly the guidelines for tables. For example, the kickboxing record format, which was proposed by Marty Rockatansky, is complicated. I had proposed a different format, similar to the one in MMA articles, but Marty Rockatansky didn't like it and he put the one that is in use. I've tried to implement it in some articles, but it takes quite some time to put that format and some editors aren't fond of the hide display code. I honestly prefer something simpler, but I'm a single editor. I would like to hear your opinion.

Also, if you have more ideas, please also put them on WT:KICK to discuss them more openly. Jfgslo (talk) 17:54, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Please do not canvass others for kickboxing AfDs. Hi. When you recently edited Angelo Santana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WBA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:51, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Josef Altin for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Josef Altin is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Josef Altin until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article.  Sandstein  14:29, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article İbrahim Coşkun has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. His cup appearance was against a lower division club, meaning it does not confer notability per WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
