Welcome![edit]

Hello, JINI PRIYA MURMU, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Santhal people does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Something stated in such a source should not be removed from Wikipedia simply based on your personal knowledge or beliefs.

You may be bold in editing, but if your edit is reverted, don't restore your changes. Instead, discuss the edit on the article's talk page. We try hard to make sure articles reflect fairly and proportionately all of the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic. Do not exert ownership over an article or edit war to preserve your preferred version of the page or exclude a view with which you disagree.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  --Worldbruce (talk) 16:47, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"... functions that focus on placating potentially dangerous spirits and coordinating rituals."[edit]

You may disagree with that claim, but your personal knowledge/experience does not override a citation. Please stop edit-warring and find a source that credibly backs you up. Thanks. PaulCHebert (talk) 21:48, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Always cite reliable published sources[edit]

Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:50, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you're interested in reliable sources, beyond those already listed in the article, Sugiyama Koichi's 1969 A Study of the Mundas Village Life in India from Tokai University Press contains some relevant information in its chapter "Religious Beliefs and Practices Concerning Agriculture", mostly in the form of comparing and contrasting with beliefs and practices of the Mundas. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:44, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
