AfD Nomination: Squarepeg

[edit]

I've nominated the article Squarepeg for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Squarepeg satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Squarepeg. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Squarepeg during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion.

I hope this won't discourage you from editing our encyclopedia, but rather that you will see this as evidence that we do our best to make sure our information is verifiable, accurate, and useful to our readers. By maintaining these standards, we are working toward making Wikipedia a respected source for research. Thanks very much, and happy editing! Kafziel 13:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emma Bunton

[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Emma Bunton. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Speedy deletion nomination of Vzaar

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Vzaar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 17:28, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Vzaar

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Vzaar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable corporation. Every hit on Google is elf promotion and Google news returns 2 hits.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Vzaar logo powering video.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 11:58, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Vzaar for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Vzaar is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vzaar (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Störm (talk) 06:13, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Vzaar logo powering video.gif

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Vzaar logo powering video.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:20, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
