If you can advise on what types of sources I can use specific to my industry outside of IMDB that would be very helpful. I can include some articles or reel clips that showcase my work but would like to note that anytime a producer or casting director or industry professional is looking to due diligence or search for professional talent / projects in the film industry they refer to IMDB, as it is globally accepted as the industry platform for updates in the the entertainment industry. THANK YOU, from my research an encyclopedia is defined as a book or set of books giving information on many subjects or on many aspects of one subject. I do not understand the concept of "reliable independent sources" as I have offered links to the single most valuable source in my industry that validate my work and involvement in these creative projects. This is just short of pressing play to watch the content and review the production credits further proving that I was in fact involved. Perhaps there can be a reconsideration for rejecting the use of IMDB, as stated previously show producers and agents must approve any credit before it is listed on a talent or professionals page, If you could ASSIST me that would be APPRECIATED. So you want Wikipedia to completely change the way it works so you can post your autobiography, good luck with that! Wikipedia articles are based on what reliable independent sources report on a topic. (click the blue link) and also see WP:YFA for help, you appear to have totally misunderstood how Wikipedia works. If my response assists with clarifying and further explaining the value of IMDb as an industry tool that is used specifically to validate legitimacy and status of production companies, cast and crew members, management talent agencies etc then that would be awesome. I imagine there are many other professionals who work in my industry that may have had to navigate similar situations. Outlets like The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Deadline are not the only legitimate sources for information in my industry. If my response is cause to review the way Wikipedia works than it seems that would be a valuable adjustment as I’m hoping yourself and any other editors might understand that IMDB is a very credible source and is a tool used by industry newcomers as well as seasoned vets and professionals.
