Welcome!

Hello, JeffreyBeltranK9sForWarriors, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was K9s For Warriors, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 331dot (talk) 12:36, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering if you have read any of the above suggested links regarding conflict of interest; generally members of an organization should not directly edit pages about it. I would also ask if you have independent reliable sources indicating something notable or significant about your organization per the notability guidelines for nonprofit organizations. That will be necessary in order to maintain an article as Wikipedia is not for publicity purposes or telling the world about good causes; article subjects must be notable. If you have any questions, please post them here. Thank you 331dot (talk) 13:51, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would like some assistance on creating the page. Would you like me to send you some information about the site I'm trying to create? Thanks for any help.

I would first ask if you can demonstrate that your organization meets the nonprofit organization guidelines with independent reliable sources(sources not affiliated with your organization). If you can, I would just go ahead and add the sources and related information to the article; it can then be reviewed by other editors. 331dot (talk) 15:06, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I would actually rather suggest that you take your sources or evidence to Requested Articles where you can request others write an article about your organization, if it is notable. 331dot (talk) 15:38, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info. Should I just paste the factual info about our site (location, what foundation does, etc.) on the requested articles page? Where is that located at? I apologize for any misinformation that you think I've alluded to. We do have some articles on Fox News, National Geographic and some of our local city news affiliates.

There is actually two things you can do. I think the best place for you to go would be articles for creation (click those words, they are a link) On that page, there is a link to the Article Wizard where after clicking through the initial process you can draft a page and have it be reviewed by others before it is finally published. If you would rather someone else write the page totally, you can visit Requested articles by clicking those words and follow the instructions there(which involve finding the appropriate subject header to post to). 331dot (talk) 15:52, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again, I just clicked on the Requested articles, posted it under the K in non-profit, created a K9s For Warriors tab per se and sited some of the news and press releases from other media sources other than our website. I hope that it is sufficient.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on K9s For Warriors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
