Black Death Article in Swedish

Hi there! This is sort of a random request, but I see you editing the Sweden article a lot and assume you have a Swedish wikipedia account? If so, I hope that you might be able to make a change to the article Digerdöden [1]. The map shown there is old and this one Image:Bubonic_plague_map_2.png is much better. I don't speak, read, etc. Swedish and it appears I need an account to edit articles on the Swedish site! Do you think you could change the map for me? Thanks! User:Doremítzwr and metropolises

Hi ... this is going on on the wikt too. He can't quite get (doesn't want to get) that standard English is not "etymologically correct", English borrows words and makes standard English plurals (metropolis->metropolises), just like every other language. (One of my favorites is that Hebrew borrows "brake" from English, then makes a standard Hebrew plural: brāksīm.) We just keep fixing things. Jeffrey: I reverted User:Doremítzwr's modification to my comment in violation of WP:TPG, together with the other changes made at the same time. This user has been repeatedly warned by multiple users (admins and not) on the en.wikt not to modify other's comments on talk pages, and clearly it has not gotten through. It is fine with me if you add his comments back in here, but I have no intention of tolerating his modifications of my signed comment(s). Your talk page, please do as you please. Pertaining to -polis plurals

I have replied to you on my talk page. Thank you for remaining civil, even when I have been not entirely so myself (the lack of reply from me thus far is not due to an unwillingness to communicate, but that I wanted to write at length if I was going to write at all).

I see that you’ve received a message from Robert Ullmann. He is one of two people with whom I have frequent disagreements on Wiktionary (I generally get along well with all the other editors). However, in all truth, I am a far more useful editor for Wiktionary that I am for Wikipedia. Here, I tend to be a minor force for good; reverting vandalism, correcting errata, improving grammar and typography, adding tracklists to music album articles — nothing major (I don’t feel that I have much to contribute here — not like on Wiktionary, where I feel that I am making discernable improvements). However, my use of some anything-other-than-the-common-as-muck spellings can, has, does, and most likely will, cause conflicts at times. My use of them is well meant. Stub sorting

I noticed you marked an article as a stub using the {{stub}} template. Did you know that there are thousands of stub types that you can use to clarify what type of stub the article is? Properly categorizing stubs is important to the Wikipedia community because it helps various WikiProjects to identify articles that need expansion.

Fair enough, but see also Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines#Maintain_Wikipedia_policy and Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines#Behavior_that_is_unacceptable. If you want to archive it, go right ahead. I knew that, which is why suggested that you not change it. In Canada, we spell it labour, not labor as you do in the United States. Since it's a section on Canada, they would have done labour and not labor. Let's keep it spelled (or spelt as they say in the UK) Canadian. Speedy deletion of Ollabelle

A tag has been placed on Ollabelle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
