PS. When I said that in 2 out of 3 cases you got the wrong astronaut, you switched the wrong two cases!!!! While your most recent re-entry of (still needless) details corrected the player of the chess game to astronaut Frank Poole, you erroneously switched(!!) the drawer of the sketches from Dave to Frank and failed to correct that it is Frank Poole, not Dave, who gets the happy birthday message. When warned about this kind of error in the future, try either rewatching the movie, or finding an online transcript of the film!!!!!!

And while you got rid of the word "video transcript" (which is a print out of the spoken words in a video), it's not a "video call" either- it's a one-way communication. ("Video call" strongly implies two-way communication as in Dr. Floyd's phone call to his daughter from the space station, earlier in the film.) The film clearly states there is a time-delay of over a dozen minutes in all ship-to-earth communications. It's really just a video recording, not a "call" any more than a "transcript".

Finally, I seriously doubt that the replacement of "Daisy" by other songs in the film had anything to do with international copyright. And if it did, you would still need a source for this. I have read copious amounts of literature on this movie, and have never come upon that tidbit.

At any rate, the inclusion of all these details is unnecessary per WP:PLOT, and you have been going against the judgment of 4 editors without taking anything to the article Talk page which is uncool re WP:CONSENSUS. I hope you have productive editing in other venues, but you will have to formally appeal your block to get unblocked from editing the Space Odyssey article.--WickerGuy (talk) 18:46, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
