Notability of Humphrey Arundell[edit]

A tag has been placed on Humphrey Arundell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JayLitman 17:14, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I re-tagged the article for potential copyright violation, as it appears to be copied directly from http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/HumphreyArundell.htm. JayLitman 17:25, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits[edit]

Please do not mark edits as minor and omit an edit summary when it is not obvious why you are making an edit. I have reverted your edit to Talk:Cornwall as it was insufficiently explained. Joe D (t) 00:55, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion[edit]

Also, why did you delete the education section of the demographics article? Please at least use the edit summary when making such major edits. Joe D (t) 00:57, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop deleting information without justifying it. Such edits are considered vandalism, and may result in you being blocked from editing. Joe D (t) 01:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of British flags[edit]

Additionally, on List of British flags your edit summary does not appear to provide justification for the edits made. Bearing in mind the WP:3RR and your history of editing that article, I recommend you discuss your proposed edits on the talk page before making any further edits. Thanks, Joe D (t) 01:24, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

April 2007[edit]

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Bill Rincewind, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Thor Malmjursson 03:03, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flag[edit]

Please do not add flags to articles to which they are not directly relevant to, or without any context explaining their relevance. Thanks, Joe D (t) 00:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pasty[edit]

Please stop removing "England" from "Cornwall, England" at Pasty. See Talk:Pasty for more information. In addition, please do not go around calling reverts for a proper reason "vandalism". Read WP:CORNWALL and Cornwall before editing that article again. -- dcclark (talk) 11:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cornish National Liberation Army, by Kriegaffe (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cornish National Liberation Army is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cornish National Liberation Army, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Cornish National Liberation Army itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 16:52, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
