If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mehta Children's Hospital, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Safiel (talk) 05:58, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The bottom half of the article was lifted nearly-verbatim from the hospital's web site. Please read Wikipedia:Copyright policy and do not use copyrighted material in Wikipedia inappropriately. On the off chance that the speedy-deletion will be declined, I removed the copyrighted material. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 07:35, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Reply to "contested deletion" (copied from Talk:Mehta Children's Hospital)

If this survives the speedy deletion and it is not quickly brought up to Wikipedia's quality standards, I intend to either propose its deletion (see WP:Proposed deletion) or nominate it for deletion (see WP:Articles for deletion). Bringing it up to Wikipedia's quality standards includes demonstrating that this hospital meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines (see WP:Notability and WP:CORP) using references from reliable sources. This should not be hard to do for a hospital. My hope is that this article or a new article about the same subject will be greatly improved in the coming days and that there will be no need to even consider deleting it.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Mehta Children's Hospital, a page you have created yourself. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Regarding your hospital article[edit]

My suggestion would be to read some of the information in the links in the Welcome Template. A visit to the Wikipedia Teahouse may be helpful, as the folks there can help you write your article in a way that it will not be deleted for appearing promotional. A link to the Teahouse is also available in the welcome template. Safiel (talk) 07:05, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you can use the Articles for Creation process, Wikipedia:Articles for creation. That allows you to develop your article and have it reviewed, without risk of deletion. When it is ready, it will then be moved to regular article space. Safiel (talk) 07:10, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

As a "branding professional" in a particular industry, you should take great care when editing articles related to that industry so that you don't even appear to have a conflict of interest. Please read the conflict of interest document I just linked to and edit accordingly. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 07:38, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Aboukir (cake), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.cooksinfo.com/aboukir.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. The article Bottle gourd oil has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources, no indication of notability - no mention of oil in the substantial article at Calabash. If the oil of this plant is notably useful, please add this information, with a source, to the Calabash article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 20:35, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
