Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Visual extinction. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Using Wikipedia for a class project[edit]

Hi Jlue00. Thank you for your interest in editing Wikipedia. Due to your page failing to meet Wikipedia's guidlines, it has been proposed for deletion (see above); rather than delete it outright I have moved it to a sub-page at User:Jlue00/Extinction (Neurology) proposal, where you can continue working on it.

If you are editing as part of a class project, please ensure that your tutor is aware of Wikipedia:School and university projects and the need to create a centralised project there - he does not appear to have done this, as far as I can see. There are a number of ways Wikipedia's experienced editors can help you and your clasmates to edit the encyclopedia, but there are ways and means of doing this. Issues have arisen in the past when class tutors have not prepared their students appropriately or fully understood the editing processes here. If your tutor has a Wikipedia account (and he should, if he wants to run a class here) it would also be a good idea to list a link to it on your userpage, so that editors who have questions or concerns about your edits can contact him.

Problems with upload of File:Visual extinction.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Visual extinction.gif. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Non-free rationale for File:Visual extinction.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Visual extinction.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
