Regarding the Plot Summary of No Time to Die

[edit]

Hello! I wanted to go ahead and respond to your comment on the article's talk page here since the talk page is moreso only for discussion to improve the article. To be clear, I think you disclosing how you wrote the summary is perfectly fine for the talk page, just not my response since it's more personally tailored towards you ;D.

While it is certainly ideal for you to have actually seen the film, one of our policies - WP:PLOTCITE - states that the primary source of the article, which would be the film in this case, is sufficient for a plot summary and it does not require the citation of secondary sources. In other words, because there is very low standards for citation for plot summaries specifically (which is quite the outlier for most content addition), I think you're fine. This is especially the case if you cross-referenced your work with reviews from reliable entertainment sites about the film.

Even if it isn't entirely accurate, I'm sure one of the many editors interested in film will notice once the plot becomes more publicly known and fix it up. In my opinion, it's better we have it and improve it rather than not.

I find the work you put into writing up the summary despite not having seen the film commendable, and I hope that the conflict regarding this page doesn't dissuade your future endeavors!

Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 05:54, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm HMSLavender. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Joe Cunningham (American politician), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 02:49, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
