Nonsense of Dr robert bell

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dr robert bell, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dr robert bell provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dr robert bell, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), versions 1.3 or later then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Dr Robert Bell and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.

  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Dr Robert Bell.

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Dr Robert Bell saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:29, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 14:19, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have been adding these, but the signature icon, but this leaves ( --~~~~ ) instead of just (~~~~). The result is that the page is recognised as unsigned, and the autobot marks it as unsigned. (After my signature)

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:2008 japan prize winners.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:00, 11 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NW (Talk) 21:00, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the group file, and added the source info to the Japan files. --johnbell149 14:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:2008 series division japan prize winner.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 14:31, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the non-free fair use rationale. --johnbell149 00:38, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

We don't need non-free images to prove things- if it's worth discussing, it should be cited to a reliable source. If it isn't mentioned in a reliable source, it probably shouldn't be mentioned here at all. J Milburn (talk) 00:39, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The US copyright laws are confusing. Here in Australia the owner has the burden of ownership if a complaint is made, not the user/publisher.

--johnbell149 00:48, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and has non-free content guidelines that are deliberately stricter than what the law allows. We also preemptively remove copyright violations/images that do not meet our policies. I don't really know anything about US law, I can only answer questions about how Wikipedia deals with image issues; if you have any questions, you're welcome to drop me a line on my talk page. Uncited statements

[edit]

I have removed an uncited reference to [Robert James Bell] (regarding catch phrases). I belive there are no longer any uncited claims and I believe the flag can now be removed. --johnbell149 05:01, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
