- At the very least please offer a source for your claims, that Modern Greece was not affected by the Orientalism of mysticising Eastern Orthodoxy, not that I think you will be able to.Sanctbogen (talk) 00:19, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
Mysticism, orientalism etc.. That comes from a person who worships a person that is supposed to never make mistakes, and whose ancestors were performing inquisition?
For your information, what is called today "western world" is a result of enlightenment, which (enlightenment) is characterized by opposition with Vatican (see Voltaire) and adoption of ancient Greek values and culture, a culture and values that survived in byzantine monasteries the same time that they were accused by popes for being heretic, Western world as we perceive it today has nothing in common with the way it was perceived 500 years ago. Modern western world was created in what was byzantine empire back then, and without byzantine emigre scholars I doubt if there would be even renaissance (see Greek emigre scholars)
Yes, Greece is overwhelmingly affected by Orthodoxy, (as there are no oriental or Mysticistic influences as you claim), and the same time the cradle of modern western world.
In an article about western world, Huntington (whose mentality and way of thinking hardly has any enlightenment influence) has no place maybe except of as "alternative author"
- I have sources supporting Huntington's view, you have to present verifiable sources to prove your claim.Sanctbogen (talk) 10:48, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
Could you post them then? Cause based on sources that I posted, Other than alternative authors nobody supports this alternative-close to conspiracy theories-author
And many sources have been provided to support my claims after editing
A goat for you!
[edit]Thank you for your highlighting of Greece as considered the birthplace of Western civilization. (Western world, Western culture)
