Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to A Course of Pure Mathematics. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 22:06, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote, " Now that I look at it, the link you keep bringing up here is a faithful scan of the book and seems valuable on that basis alone." On that basis, I undid your change. Please note that no other references on this page provide HTML pages of that book that can be read on cellphones easily. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kamyar.d (talkcontribs)
If you keep adding this website like this, I think it is very likely that your account is going to get blocked. - MrOllie (talk) 22:23, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If as you mentioned "those are faithful scans" of those books, what is wrong with them? Why is "http://calculusmadeeasy.org/" is acceptable but "https://avidemia.com/calculus-made-easy/" is not? Which other reference for "A Course of Pure Mathematics" provides HTML scans of the book?

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. • User displayed no understanding that the behavior was inappropriate, or they'd change. Should an admin decide this is no longer the case, feel free to modify the block without my input. Star Mississippi 16:37, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
