Dulwich Hill FC

[edit]

Hey King of Hearts, I'm writing this at 7:00am in the morning (after being awake all night), so I apologise if it doesn't make a great deal of sense!

I was just wondering about a previous article that you deleted after an AFD, wherein the slight majority of votes seemed to indicate a keep. With a relative line-ball situation like this, I'm guessing that the page probably needed a few more sources in order to pass notoriety guidelines. Since then, the rise of footballer Fabio Ferreira has seen a lot of articles written about his past, after being a part of Chelsea, and then eventually finding himself a few years later in the NSW second division with Dulwich Hill, followed by a resurgence to the A-League. Here's several links listing this information, from extremely creditable sources:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/adelaide-united-and-ffa-clash-after-fabio-ferreira-departs-for-central-coast-mariners/story-fnibbvew-1227198173703 http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2012/08/27/ferreira-treasures-mourinhos-tip http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/fabio-ferreira-steps-up-from-dulwich-hill-to-adelaide-united/story-fn63e0vj-1226493981389 http://www.goal.com/en-au/news/4016/main/2014/10/04/5155188/from-chelsea-to-the-a-league-via-dulwich-hill

Does this extra information justify reopening up the Dulwich Hill FC page to be severely editted (by me) and have it back online? Cheers! - J man708 (talk) 20:41, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that none of the sources you mentioned constitute significant coverage of the subject. Dulwich Hill is mentioned only in the context of Fabio Ferreira, and nothing meaningful is said about it other than the fact that Ferreira had been part of it. -- King of 01:48, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Further sockpuppets

[edit]

On 2nd December 2014 You blocked user Betfairmole for operating multiple sockpuppet accounts. The only editing activity engaged in by those sockpuppets was to the article Betfair adding in non-neutral WP:NPOV allegations against a number of former Betfair employees, usually without any citation, or making allegations unsubstantiated by the links cited WP:SYN, and using weasel words WP:WEASEL.

Since the block two new accounts have miraculously joined Wikipedia, rolfeguy (created 10th January) and PeteFox1 (created 24th January). If you look at their edit histories, their ONLY activity has been to make identical or nearly identical edits to only ONE Wikipedia article, Betfair. Based on their broadly identical edit activity it would appear that they are also sockpuppets of Betfairmole. Could I please ask you to review? DJBumfun (talk) 18:33, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More copyvio issues from Billy Hathorn

[edit]

Per your [[Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Billy_Hathorn/Archive|prior involvement with this user]: see here. I noticed a few sentences that were copied verbatim; that dupe detector picked up more stuff. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:00, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SF edit-a-thons on March 7 and 8

[edit]
ArtAndFeminism (3/7) and International Women's Day (3/8)!

Dear fellow Wikipedian,

In celebration of WikiWomen's History Month, the SF Bay Area Wikipedia community has two events in early March -- please consider attending!

First, we have an ArtAndFeminism edit-a-thon, which will take place at the Kadist Art Foundation from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday, March 7. We'll be one of many sites worldwide participating in this edit-a-thon on March 7th. So join us as we help improve Wikipedia's coverage of women artists and their works!

Second, we will be celebrating International Women's Day with the International Women's Day edit-a-thon on Sunday, March 8 from 1pm to 5pm at the Wikimedia Foundation. Our editing focus will be on women, of course!

I hope to see you there! Rosiestep (talk) - via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:06, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
