Hello Jalen,

Thank you for taking a look at my page. While I have made a few edits to Wikipedia pages in the past, this is the first time I have attempted a full article, so I am going slow and working things out, hence why the draft is very unfinished. I have chosen Word Forest as they are an up and coming charity that I think deserves more attention.

I was wondering why you think that the article I have started on is for the purpose of promotion? Initially, I would like to point out that the article is not finished yet, I had just saved the first tiny bit of work as a draft, and I know it requires a lot more work including external references in order to make it a reputable article. If you could let me work on the draft until completion and then assess whether it should be made live, I would appreciate that.

Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Further comments relating to conflict of interest and related matters[edit]

I don't know what you think the word "promotion" means, but it is difficult to think of anything more clearly promotional in intention than publishing about a subject because you "think [it] deserves more attention".
Please don't continue to edit without complying with the conflict of interest guideline.
Almost all of us, when we start editing Wikipedia, know little or nothing about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, so nobody can be blamed for starting out doing things that are contrary to policies and guidelines that they don't know about. However, continuing to do the same things after being told about the relevant policies and guidelines is a different matter. Administrators may block editors from editing if they continue to edit in unacceptable ways after being informed.
I recommend being completely open and transparent. If administrators form the impression that you are being less than straightforward, that will increase the likelihood of their blocking your account from editing. JBW (talk) 12:52, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
