Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Delta Upsilon Guelph Chapter a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Delta Upsilon Guelph Chapter[edit]

The article Delta Upsilon Guelph Chapter has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This individual fraternity chapter does not appear to meet the notability guideline for organizations.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Please stop re-creating that article about your "Delta Upsilon" chapter, either in article space or in your user page. The simple fact is, we do not host articles on individual groups like that on Wikipedia, unless there is clear evidence they are notable in the sense of having attracted significant coverage in reliable independent sources (not just routine listings, run-of-the-mill coverage in day-to-day local media or the like). I can see no sign that your group fulfills these standards. It is also not appropriate for you to use your user page to permanently host a copy of a page that gives itself the appearance of being an encyclopedia article (see WP:FAKEARTICLE). I am only hosting this wiki page on my urser account because this is what my professor asked of me to do. I am not a member of the Delta Upslion, the page I put up WAS objective with independet soruces from major guelph newspapers. Again, there is no fake profile. Conflict of Interest on Delta Upsilon Guelph[edit]

Hello Kmacdoan. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Delta Upsilon Guelph, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
