User talk:Kurdistan homeland
June 2023
[edit]Hi Kurdistan homeland! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Woman, Life, Freedom several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Woman, Life, Freedom, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 18:49, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lara Dizeyee
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lara Dizeyee, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Sincerely, Key of G Minor. Tools: (talk, contribs) 21:21, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

- [1] Do you plan to stop violating the rules of this website any time soon? Serious question. HistoryofIran (talk) 10:03, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

- This is ironic. You altered sourced information, changing it from Persian to Kurdish, yet I am the one “erasing history” here? Let me not even get started on your other edits. Give me one good reason to not report you to WP:ANI right now. HistoryofIran (talk) 13:21, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Read Ibn Hawqal's book about the Jibal region. Kurds lived in all those areas before the Mongol invasion. He also wrote a book about his origin: انساب الاکراد
- It is very clear that Kurds still live in that region Kurdistan homeland (talk) 13:33, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

- Ok. I will add sources for all edits and discuss them.
- But why did you delete the name of Kermanshah province? Does it need a source? Dinavar is located in Kermanshah province. Is this incorrect and fake information?? Kurdistan homeland (talk) 14:11, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- There was no "Kermanshah province" under the caliphate, so I doubt you'd find a source regarding that, and it being a province today is irrelevant to that article. While we're at it, see also WP:UNDUE and WP:RS. --HistoryofIran (talk) 14:13, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- I meant the present, not the Abbasid period. Please read the text:Dinawari was born in the (now ruined) town of Dinawar in modern-day western Iran. (Today this city is a part of Kermanshah province) Kurdistan homeland (talk) 14:22, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- In the narrative of history, the "MAIN SOURCES" are important, not orientalists and sometimes political views. Kurdistan homeland (talk) 14:27, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- And why is Kermanshah province relevant to add? Why not add the modern district/county while we're at it too? And I'm not sure I understood your "Main sources" comment. If you think some sources are biased/unreliable, feel free to take it to WP:RSN. --HistoryofIran (talk) 14:31, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kurdish Language History
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kurdish Language History requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.britannica.com/topic/Kurdish-language. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Kurdistan homeland! Your additions to Kurdish Language History have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:58, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
