I'll discontinue trying to contribute the CVE-2018-9206 page. If someone else wants to create it that's cool. I only attempted to create good documentation but I see people can just pull that from packetstormsecurity.org or GitHub.

What will you edit about instead? 331dot (talk) 08:26, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Because of this, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic, you may request an unblock. If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 18:38, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have no idea what you're talking about. How can this account be attributed to advertisement or a business?

Decline reason:

User is unresponsive to questioning. Yamla (talk) 15:04, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Are you Larry Cashdollar? If so, your username is acceptable, but you would still need to address your conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 20:47, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I've updated the block and notice to remove issues regarding the username of the account - the username is not a violation of Wikipedia's username policy. I apologize if the block reason and notice caused confusion in this regard. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:06, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'd like to contribute in other ways not related to CVE-2018-9206

Decline reason:

Since blocks only prevent editing, if there are no edits you wish to make, there is no need to remove the block. You may request unblock when there is an edit you wish to make. There is no deadline, so take as much time as you want. 331dot (talk) 14:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please describe the ways you wish to contribute, preferably with specific edits you wish to make or specific articles/topic areas you are interested in editing about. Please also describe your conflict of interest with the topic you had edited about. 331dot (talk) 19:43, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm, CVE-2018-9206 was documented by me. I only wanted to add documentation to Wikipedia.. it didn't need to be credited to me at all. I understand it didn't receive enough media attention. I thought I could add a section on becoming a Mitre CNA under the Mitre CVE section but thinking back that would be moot to document as well.

Okay. Please describe the contributions you wish to make. 331dot (talk) 20:18, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have no contributions to make at this time
