January 2021[edit]

Information icon Hi Leads Brand Connect! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 15:34, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is the second time I am writing to you on the same subject. You are still marking edits as minor, where they are not e.g. Special:Diff/999879309 and Special:Diff/999878412. Please don't ignore these messages. --Muhandes (talk) 12:24, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Muhandes. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 16:40, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Leads Brand Connect! Your additions to G.H. Raisoni University have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 09:30, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Trivial and repetitive additions[edit]

Please stop adding trivial, non-encyclopedic material to articles, especially when taken from primary, non-neutral sources. I wouldn't have mentioned it but I keep needed to revert your edits, for example here you added a fact which already appears exactly one line above. Here you added text directly lifted from the source, which doesn't even deal with the article subject, and you said that it is "fondly called", which is far from neutral. You added the critical fact that a university is located on a hill (seriously?) and repeated a fact mentioned one line above. Please read an article before you add material and don't add trivialities. If you want to refine an existing fact do that, don't repeat the fact, and in general, try to avoid primary source, the intend to include mostly the facts Wikipedia does not need. --Muhandes (talk) 11:24, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't ignore my request. You keep adding trivial and repetitive material like you did here. This is also a copyright violation in this case. here you repeated material available one line above. Read the article before adding redundant material. Please just stop copypasting material from university websites. --Muhandes (talk) 09:54, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021[edit]

Copyright problem icon One of your recent edits has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Muhandes (talk) 11:59, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning[edit]

This is your last warning. STOP copy pasting material from websites, like you did here and here. This are copyright violations which cannot be tollerated. Stop ignoring my requests and start communicating with other editors. You leave me no option but to ask for administrator intervention. --Muhandes (talk) 14:49, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 12:38, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
